Does anyone have a recommendation for an anime about territorial defense?

Hi, I'm looking for an anime that focuses primarily on the establishment and development of territories, such as "Farming Life in Another World," "Easygoing Territory Defense by the Optimistic Lord," or "The Genius Prince's Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt!"
Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Destonstor, it seems like you might be looking for new anime to watch!

That time I got reincarnated as a slime

Veritas33332026-01-21 18:32

Chained Soldier, kind of. The main characters have a designated area to protect from demons.

Reincarnated as a slime

ReMonster

And abit of Log Horizon are the closest I can think of.

For_The_Emperor9232026-01-21 20:27

Log Horizon was the first of the bunch and was so good. Then the author got in trouble and the anime adaptation either stopped or massively slowed.

Remonster is a bait and switch. It's like 1 episode of nation building then it pivots into harem slop

Lower_Refrigerator_22026-01-22 08:47

Honestly haven’t watched much of the anime but I did read quite abit of the manga. Yeah I feel you, it was great up until the journey arc and kinda started to fall off past there. Only really kept reading because the evolutions were cool

thewilltheway2026-01-21 21:02

I can't find that, do you have a MAL link for it?

BlueEyesWhiteDrgn2026-01-21 21:51

Sorry no link
Try to search for Tyrant Tower Defense Game

thewilltheway2026-01-21 22:05

Ah, it's a manga

AsterJ2026-01-21 19:49

How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom

Is probably my favorite in this genre

Tesuji642026-01-21 20:35

Code Geass

Alderamin on the Sky

Attack on Titan (in the sense that they’re trying to be able to move around without danger)

Gundam Wing / Origin

Loosely, if you even count them as anime:
Avatar: The Last Airbender
Samurai Jack

Playest_42472026-01-21 20:49

There's a show similar to this The realest hero rebuilds the kingdom or something like that

As a reincarnated aristocrat, I'll use my appraisal skill to rise in the world — not so much the first season, but more the second one

[Maoyuu](https://myanimelist.net/anime/14833/Maoyuu_Maou_Yuusha?q=Maoyuu&cat=anime#) has some of it, though it's more about local development when it does give it focus.

You might enjoy 'Chillin in my 30s after getting fired from the demon king's army'

MC who was a top advisor to the demon king's army gets fired and winds up in a rundown village. Eventually helps the village to thrive again and grow, and becomes mayor.

Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra, since it is based on 4x games. Animation is rather low budget, but the ideas are pretty cool.
