Was SpyxFamily Season 3 kinda boring for anyone else? Is the show losing its appeal?
I just finished the most recent season, in a bubble most episodes are fine, but taken as a whole (and with the previous seasons), I feel the show is losing its appeal. Yor as an assassin is still very underused (and even in general Yor barely appears in most episodes), and a lot of the school stuff with the classmates isn't all that interesting to me besides a few moments here and there.
I did like the plot where the hijackers took over the bus with the bomb, and I liked the backstory of the 2-parter in the past showing the war, but overall I feel like the show is losing its appeal. I understand it's not meant to be a plot-driven shonen and its more slice of life with isolated action plots, but it is what it is.
I'll continue to watch next season till the anime adaption is over, but it's not really "must watch" anymore. Anya is still adorable though.

For me I found s2 the weakest, but then again, if looked at from a different perspective, built the base for whats to come in the future.
S2 I was losing interest and I didn't even bother with the movie, but S3 got me again.
The scene where Anya just unexpectedly breaks down crying upon seeing Yor after the bus jacking was only earned after the last couple of seasons of character building. Yor and Lloyd having the “fight” over griping is a subtle way of them telling us that they’re both inadvertently taking the relationship a little more seriously than expected now.
Not everything is going to be bombastic set pieces and fights and maybe that’s why they put Code:White in as a bit of a thrill.
But I think we’re getting to the crux of what this story about which is about a found family, and the connections between them.
IMO there were fewer and fewer Anya antics. And craziness to amuse me. I could care less about the spy missions if they dont accidentally get the family involved. I could use more assassin stuff. It got too serious. Or at least I think that is what I remember.
(I still haven't finished s3 either)
Maybe the animation breaths so much needed life into the series but, I wouldn’t be surprised if things felt the same.
So each SOL episode feels like a bit of a waste of time to me. Though I don't think I would felt this way if it was clear that it was more of an SOL show from the beginning. Anyway, all that to say I agree with you, and actually dropped S3 early on because of this.
*surprised Pikachu*!
