Recommendations for a friend as a new watcher.
So I have seen well over 100 anime. But I am having trouble recommending a show to a friend. He has never gotten around to watching any anime even after me recommending show after show. But all of the sudden we made a deal, I will watch a show he recommends and he will watch one of mine. His show being primal, and he will watch an anime. Now here is where I am having trouble. I want to open his mind to the wonderful world of anime. So I am hoping this one show will make him realize. Anime is amazing.
Here are some of the shows I was thinking about recommending that I have watched. We have similar tastes in TV and movies. I’m trying to find something easily palatable but also drawing him in at the same time.
JJK
Demon Slayer
Chainsaw Man
Attack on titan
Hunter x Hunter
Full Metal Alchemist
Hells Paradise
Samurai Champloo
Mob Psycho
Black clover
Gurren Lagann
Death Note
Dororo
Kaiju no. 8
One punch man season 1
Vinland Saga
He does like sports so,
Kuroko no basket
Haikyuu
Blue lock
I am hoping these will lead him into the worlds of
One piece
Naruto
Dragon ball z
Then some shows like
Shangri-la frontier
Mushoku Tensei
Dandadan
Re: zero
Any other recommendations are much appreciated!
I just don’t want to risk giving him something he doesn’t like then says no to anime as a whole after.

The users of this subreddit came up with [a chart of anime recommendations for newcomers and veterans](https://i.redd.it/0w1v880jtq661.png) and [an awesome longer flowchart](https://i.redd.it/vdzlkodz19c71.png). Maybe you can find something there that you'll like \^.\^

Death note would be my suggestion.
Apocalypse Hotel is the choice if he’s not into violence
Just think of it as recommending a show in general. It’s not that deep.
If you're just doing one season then JJK or Chainsaw Man.
Among the many series, this one stands above the rest.
