Its not the anime that has the most negative impact its the regular tropes such as fan service that have the most negative impact and cast a large portion of the overarching community as creepy, weird etc.

Actually anime has gotten a lot more mainstream nowadays, and the anime community is no longer seen as creepy and weird. At the very least that has been my experience. In the days of 2016 - 19(the only time period I watched anime and was conscious about it), watching anime was simply equal to getting socially ostracized in every way. The anime scene has improved a lot more and simply watching anime isn't considered "creepy" nowadays after the pandemic.

This just in: fans from any franchise will be assholes and gatekeepers to that franchise. This includes but is not limited to:

* Attack on Titan
* Jujutsu Kaisen
* One Piece
* Solo Leveling
* Dragonball anything
* Naruto
* Boruto
* Bleach
* Konosuba

legitimately any anime, but in particular, battle shonens tend to have the most toxic and maladjusted fans. Wanna know my secret to not dealing with them? Don’t engage with those online spaces since that’s where they hang out.

basically lmao. But the point is the same. Anything with a fandom is gonna have a lie and toxic side to it. Mostly I. internet spaces where they can be anonymous trolls. So the best way to avoid that side of the fandom is to just not engage with them fandom directly or at all.

Who me? I have exactly 6 friends, and only two I talk with regularly, and only 1 of those two watches anime. Barely.

But you definitely see all the toxicity come out online. IG, Reddit, YouTube, X etc. My point was if you want to avoid the toxic fans then avoid online spaces specific to that particular anime where you’re more likely to meet them
