I've never experienced anime like this before. So many good things to say I don't know where to start. They even took the cheap and cliched anime fighting template panels and turned them into motion art. The Tarantino homage is appreciated. Maki is a badass character. Power scaling is done to perfection. Whew.... what a ride!

My favorite mini-arc in JJK, I'm emotional just looking at this visual. I hope this is especially storyboarded and directed by Shota-san because ep 17 of season 1 was also Mai-Maki sibling fight and he directed and storyboarded it. It would be a great full circle moment.

Eyo (sane) manga readers, (spoilers:) but do y'all think the ending of this story is salvageable? Like could it be tweaked into a more acceptable conclusion? Or was all the negative buzz I heard blown out of proportion to begin with? Or, again, could it in some way be similar to how the AoT ending was able to be made much more digestable (though still flawed) in the anime's rendition?

I think parts of the ending has it's problems, I was kind of disappointed by it, but I do think a good chunk of that is because of certain aspects of it's presentation. Don't wanna get into spoilers about it or anything but like, I have a lot of faith in the anime being able to handle it better and certain things feeling less frustrating in the anime. I do think it was better than AoT's ending at least.
