Episode 1 of Season 2 is already available on Netflix, but it depends on your region. They don't have the worldwide rights.

Not sure if I'd even bet on that. Frieren and Apothecary Diaries got added at the same time and Apothecary diaries season 2 still isn't on Netflix.

Something I've noticed is a lot of anime the first season or 2 get added but not more. Shield Hero has only 2 seasons I think, My Hero doesn't have everything, JJK only has season 1...

My "at a minimum" was understating it, you're right that there's a chance it'll never happen if Netflix doesn't think it's worth the [sub]licensing cost.

Depends on 2 factors. How much Netflix will pay and how much sublicensing makes sense vs Crunchyroll/etc wanting to hold control (or how the committees want to handle it when rights are up to be negotiated).

I find JJK and My Hero the most fascinating personally. I actually double checked after I posted and it is the first 2 seasons and two movies of MHA are available and have been for a long time, and season 1 of JJK went up a good while ago as well.

I'm talking USA. Some parts of the world Netflix 100% has better Anime coverage but Netflix's own home turf it is way worse.

Reason is probably pricing. A USA license for heavy hitters like Frieren or Apothecary Diaries is gonna be a lot more expensive then for example South East Asia where we get Frieren on Netflix and youtube.
