What do you recommend?

I am fed up with Marvel and DC, with Marvel especially degrading Spider-Man and making him stagnant

What anime would you recommend that has a character similar to Peter Parker?

I am also into survival themed fiction, so any recommendations regarding that also appreciated

My Hero Academia

Plot ?

Novel_Adeptness40072026-01-23 10:56

Similar to a lot of others DC/Marvel stories honestly. A looser guy gets superpowers and deliver justice with a lot of struggles along the way. Its good, if that's sounds like your cup o tea.

But I think most animes in shonen genre would suite your tastes. You might want to give "Fullmetal Alchemist : Brotherhood " a shot. MC might be not exactly like Peter Parker, but the cast and main characters are stellar nonetheless. The world is great, the story is solid, and its finished

This is the best rec imo for what op is asking for.

Plot?

EducationalHat63712026-01-23 10:34

I can't do it justice, should wiki it. It came to mind as MC is a teen thrust into having powers, protective of family and friends, wears a costume, and fights for good. His attitude is slightly less jolly than Peter, but so many other great personalities in it who are jolly, you might dig it.

A Certain Magical Index

In the sense that the protagonist is the kind of person who can’t turn a blind eye to someone in trouble.

"Heroman" an anime created by Stan Lee himself. An unappreciated gem in my opinion. Is preaty much a Marvel story, same cliches as any superhero comic but no because of that it is a bad show.

You have MHA and One Punch Man.
