Some people just love aura farming. For a casual fan, it's a very easy series to pick up and widely accessible.

It's a burger made really well. Its not fine dining, but a way better burger than you get at McDonalds (which people still eat all the time)
Yes it's a straight forward power fantasy like many others, but it has great execution. The animation, the pacing and buildups to fights, the hints of a larger plot that provides tension. It's just all done well.

I’ve watched the two seasons twice in a week and a half. Easily my favorite anime right now. Depending how it develops, it might replace FMA:Brotherhood as my all time favorite.

It's based on MAL data only, just has a detailed breakdown from 21 different countries.
