Gurren Lagann Movies Question

I just found out there’s two movies apparently for Gurren Lagann. Does anyone know where I can watch them at? I just finished the series today and can’t seem to find them anywhere. (I only have Netflix and Crunchyroll and don’t see them on either) Also, do the movies have new/more footage not shown in the series? Is there any reason to watch them after watching the whole show?

They skip a lot of the story, but have extra battle scenes, and the second movie has an extended ending battle.

That sounds good, do you know where I could find them?

Right now your best bet is importing the Blu Ray. That has the English sub track on it.

Oh okay cool. I’ll have to find the blu ray then! Thank you for the info

Just in case the only legit way currently to watch these movies (unless you live outside the USA) is to buy the entire series on Blu-Ray for about $200. Only other option is the limited edition for about $400 used (or $505 new).

Yeah I ended up finding it online yesterday and it was like $180 or something close to that. It’s a little too far out of my price range.
