I’m 17 in my senior year, going into university and I want anime that will impact me the most at this stage of my life
I’m not really sure where I’m heading in my future and I know a lot of people who have watched anime that have ‘changed them’ and to be honest I’ve not really had that experience, so I’m looking for something that will really get me, impact me or make me think. Thank you for any help!

The users of this subreddit came up with [a chart of anime recommendations for newcomers and veterans](https://i.redd.it/0w1v880jtq661.png) and [an awesome longer flowchart](https://i.redd.it/vdzlkodz19c71.png). Maybe you can find something there that you'll like \^.\^

Both of those anime really meant a lot to me when I felt a bit lost. Also remember it’s about the journey, not the destination. Have a great time at Uni 😁

I don't want to ruin the plot by saying too much, but it is a story about a class on the precipice of change and details how they each face it.

* Cowboy Bebop
* Steins;Gate
* Made In Abyss
* Summertime Rendering
When it comes to sports I think only Hajime no Ippo may encourage you to it (boxing).
Or maybe you like board/card games (which obviously are not sport) - Saki is fun. The only reason I don't play Mahjong is the fact none of my friends or family wants to, but this anime made me to explore topic and watch other Mahjong related titles.
And when it comes to anime to make you think - Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu. This anime will "teach" you few things that may be usable in your future (as long as you are able to draw conclusions). Especially if you have plan to participate in democratic elections
It's about this growing up thing, in parts at least
