I've seen it (long, long ago, in the land before time), and I forgot what it was about.
So to any who remember the story, how was it? (Don't make me watch a video, though it's cool that the OP made a video, videos are cool, don't make me)

Very forgettable (like u forgot lol) / average at best with animation being average as well. But that was the normal for gonzo back then. Starts off good then takes a dip in quality a few episodes in.
First episode a dream parody btw

I loved that first episode. XD

1st season is one of a fantasy story that stuck with me, it one of a few that really give you a vibe of forming a party and go off to a grand adventure. (Kind of like dungeon machi)
Then 2nd season just turn into generic fantasy story and lost all that vibe.

Not really and that’s not the right artwork for the druaga anime either

i highly disagree with that statement. tower of drauga was forgettable. and thats me being nice about it.

Regarding the pronounciation of Frieren:
In Japanese it's フリーレン (furiiren)
In English, the general rule is if it's "ei" you say "i" if it's "ie" you say "e," the second of the two letters.
If you use English rules or Japanese rules, both are "F(u)REE-REN" and "FRY-REN" is wrong.

I pronounce it who-ree-rehn-sah-mah.
I always staple the -sama for ironic fun. I'm beyond saving.

Fun fact ふ / フ encompasses the sounds fu and hu, and everywhere in between in Japanese. (And as such, "who/hu" is actually correct)
It's actually grouped with "h" sounds: はひふへほ and ハヒフへホ
