Gundam seed is on netflix and it's pretty good. It is a bit slow at the beginning, but it gets better. The longer it goes on

You’re not allowed to watch anything
Geebun2026-01-24 07:55
Frieren, The Apothecary Diaries, Delicious in Dungeon, Orb or Vinland Saga

Where I am, Netflix has gurren lagann, and mob psycho, and those are easily the best things on there imo. Definitely worth noting the fan service in gurren lagann, but to say that's all the show has to offer is only the opinion of someone who didn't watch it

Ttgl is pure fanservice and mecha parodies
FeefuWasTaken2026-01-24 08:08
It's more super robot than Mecha, the fan service is really only significant in the first third of the series, and YOU DIDN'T EVEN SAY THE WORD MOTIVATION, YOU AIN'T TALKING ABOUT THE SAME SHOW I AM!!!!!!!

Dude, kamina is a clone of Roy Fokker, the gl is a bootleg of gaiking with zambot head, the spiral force is a copy of getter rays...

Bro cited a cornerstone of super robot shows to try to prove me wrong😭

I know how you feel. I struggle to find good anime that gravitate to as an old head. Since you have Netflix I recommend Sakamoto days, Dan da dan, Kotaru lives alone, and ways of the house husband. There's a lot of good stuff on there
maullidothethird2026-01-24 08:05
High score girl
Agretsuko
Megalobox (if not removed)
Castle of Cagliostro
Ghibli movies (porko Rosso, nausica, etc)
purple_takemikazuchi2026-01-24 08:09
what do you mean modern anime is fan service slop bruh
Gmaster1322026-01-24 10:36
How do you even know animes now day are fan service slops if you have only access to Netflix? Netflix has close to 0 animes like that. Srsly just pick any Anime of the genre you like and it would be ok.
But for personal the recomendations
"Freiren: beyond journey's end." (Fantasy and slice of life)
"Delicious in Dongeon" (Fantasy and adventure)
"Apotocary Dieries" (Mystery and Drama)
"Hunter X Hunter" (Adventure and Action)
"Violet Evergarden" (Drama and Romance)
"Haikyu!!" (Sports)
"Parasite the Maxime" (Horror and Thriller)
"My Love Story" (Romance comedy)
It all depends on what genre you like to watch

You may want to try "A Silent Voice" or Koe ni Katchi . It's about bullying. Just a heads up, it'll make you cry
