Next show after Fairy Tail

I have watched most of the mainstream the last two years! Now i trying to find some anime with more than 12 episodes.. I like fairy tail a lot! That kind of anime! With 270 episodes or something! So tired of watching 12 episodes and no one even knows if part 2 is coming when ended! I need some finished anime shows that is action paxked, magic, i like Naruto style, ninja/samurai things! OLDSCHOOL Japan anime from the eras before guns and so on! I love those.. Anyone got something for me you just feel like I must see?

Have you watched Legend of the Galactic Heroes? It's oldschool but gets better every episode and is the smartest anime I ever watched :)

I don't know which anime you've watched but there's always the big 3:
- Naruto (+ Naruto Shippuden being the second half)
- Bleach
- One Piece

Or there's a few good anime series with a couple of seasons :
- Hunter x Hunter (2011)
- My Hero Academia
- Demon Slayer
- Sword Art Online
- Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
- Attack on Titan
- Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
- Code Geass

Or animes from other genres / that are more unique :
- Death Note
- Re:Zero
- Monogatari Series (I like to watch in anime release order)

All of these are either finished, or have at the very least 50 episodes if they're not.

Critical-Farmer15582026-01-24 15:42

Seem every one except jojo cuz didnt like the animation and monogatari! Is the last one good? Seems like id has some episodes :)

QcDiablo2026-01-24 15:51

I'd say it's pretty good but weird. It has some ecchi stuff so if you really don't like that it can be a turn off.

Critical-Farmer15582026-01-24 17:42

Nah man Thats good! I love it

Don’t see anyone recommending Inuyasha!

Critical-Farmer15582026-01-24 17:42

Thank you! On the list!

Sorry to nitpick, but samurai had guns during the Sengoku period. Peak OLDSCHOOL Japanese history. Portuguese traders sold arquebuses to Oda Nobunaga.

But I get what you mean, so demon slayer might be up your alley.

Critical-Farmer15582026-01-24 17:43

Seen it all twice :)

Dragon Quest Dai might be up your alley - very cool oldschool fantasy style Shounen. The closest someone gets to a "gun" is a sort of magic-launcher, otherwise it's swords, spells, dragons and the like. Very cool show, quite unknown and is based on a really cool 90s Manga. Its adaptation is completed.

Otherwise, can't go wrong with Bleach. It is set in "modern times" but the characters all use blades which have various cool af abilities. A lot of it is also set in fantastical worlds, one of which is just straight up magical old-japan! It's not fully adapted juuuust yet, but it's about be completed pretty soon. So you'd hit it at the height of its full adaptation peak when you fully complete it!

Also, and this is a heavy curveball to what you want, but if you like the hype, dope action and struggling-against-all-odds part of Fariy Tail, give Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann a watch. Easily the best depiction of the indomitable Human spirit in Anime I've ever witnessed, some of THE most over the top action ever animated, and the OST as well as the animation are dope af. I love this show.
