Kind of funny how the dude is literally fueled by hate lol. He’s able to control his abilities a little bit but he still lacks technique. That blue flame has a lot of potential. I mean just look at what K could do with it. Looking forward to seeing the dude grow as an exorcist alongside his new classmates. They seem like a fun bunch.

mekerpan2026-01-24 17:49

I wonder why most of the students were given months to develop -- and Enishiro was only given a week?

Fujisaki_Chihiro0012026-01-24 17:59

They want to get rid of him, that's why. So they gave him a seemingly impossible test.

mekerpan2026-01-24 18:21

But isn't he really their best (maybe only) hope for taking down Boy K?

Fujisaki_Chihiro0012026-01-24 18:26

I mean, Sensei already explained in this episode that most teachers of this school seem to think that MC is in cahoots with K somehow because they have the same power.

KumaKumaGambler2026-01-24 16:41

Energy saving mode is important for cyber-kinesis too!

Some of the teachers may have already fallen to the dark side, based on their prejudice against Enishiro. Particularly the teacher with long black hair and glasses.

diacewrb2026-01-24 16:53

Those teachers probably can't wait to act as a substitute and give him tough and trick questions in class just to screw with him.

mekerpan2026-01-24 17:48

How was that black-haired teacher allowed to violate the rules (and maybe even try to kill) Enishiro?

skeleton_clique_1432026-01-24 19:13

someone did say "160... that's a new record" implying there's other record over 100 so I assume students who take the test can choose to keep going after passing with a 100, although it wasn't voluntary, Enishiro didn't complain so it probably doesn't violate rules and I doubt he would've died to training spirits in a room full of exorcists.

portable battery pack

testthrowawayzz2026-01-24 23:41

Low Power Mode: On

Thomas_JCG2026-01-24 16:49

Some very fine folk on this hotel school, how is that teacher even able to keep his job?

Ryuki-Exsul2026-01-24 16:52

They really wanted this to be full episode but not a bad way to do it. I totally have forgotten that joke about leaving door open for days. It catched me a bit off guard. And yeah Soji being a mix of nice/cute kid and a bit of crazy is pretty fun to watch. Okamoto really works with that types of MCs. Anyway nice first showing of all 6 main characters\^\^ as well. I really like all of them but it is still early so I will just shut up. Oh and about teamwork, I love that in this manga and that weren't empty words either.

NanDemoKnaives2026-01-24 17:06

Those guy hate his existence so much they ended up being the reason why he set a record in the school lol.

Fujisaki_Chihiro0012026-01-24 17:10

Introduction of the major enemy "Lonesome K" who has the same power as the MC.

The glasses teacher Is a certified hater.

And next time, first mission and it seems to be the mandatory 2 boys 1 girl team.

Brother, I'm sorry if this comes off as harsh but I didn't ask so you don't need to wink wink nudge nudge at me okay. This is just my observation.

[deleted]2026-01-24 17:38

Fujisaki_Chihiro0012026-01-24 17:40

You do know what "wink wink nudge nudge" means right? If you don't, then it's exactly what your reply is which I don't need.

Queue_Jumping_Quack2026-01-24 17:26

The teacher's constant laughter and general demeanour reminds me of Sakamoto from Gintama...

We get a training... is it even an arc since it seems to be done with one episode? Fittingly the others manage to motivate him by insulting him, ie. how others responded to his online flame bait posting.

An right on cue after some banter, we get the first mission which will be in the next episode. Wonder if we will meet the Sad Boy ghost right away?

FLorianGran2026-01-24 18:06

Of course hate comments power him up

oxlemf102026-01-24 19:31

This idea of linking power usage to cell phone energy is quite creative, although clearly the protagonist didn't need it in the final test lol

NationalStrategy2026-01-24 20:33

So what if he fights with a portable charger, would that help?

Ryuki-Exsul2026-01-24 20:38

No because battery just shows character's spiritual energy and how much it is still there. Phone is like a medium for their power, it is needed to use their abilities but they are part of them anyway. So charger would have to be to a person not phone :D

NationalStrategy2026-01-24 20:45

I see, so if I find the spiritual energy equivalent to a portable charger, then I’ll be set.

Ryuki-Exsul2026-01-24 20:49

I can't talk about it but you are onto something here\^\^ One way you already saw, it's sleeping. It will recharge spiritual energy.

NationalStrategy2026-01-24 21:01

If there’s a Zenitsu-like character that locks in when they sleep, they would be unstoppable

testthrowawayzz2026-01-24 20:48

There was one guy that said the Freiren line.

I still find the gag of Kasubata saying something mean/bad and then apologizing for poor manners right after very funny.

AnonmityFisher2026-01-24 20:50

I love Enishiro as a main. He’s just a baka full of hope and optimism.

Next_Package_57102026-01-24 20:51

This is another show that seems to be a mashup of several things. Team 7 has been formed with Sakura, Sasaki and Naruto in Hogwarts for techies...

Ryuki-Exsul2026-01-24 21:34

I mean anime just introduced to you 6 characters so why do you think it is a power trio like story? I'm really curious because you are like second person saying it and I don't get it. It was always pretty clear for me that it is asamble cast like in for example Blue Exorcist than three mains. Especially again ending is about Hiyori not Kiyomi. Anime wouldn't make full ending like that not for a main.

Next_Package_57102026-01-24 21:39

dont know who Hiyori or Kiyomi are supposed to refer to...but ending shot was of hammer guy purple hair and MC with Gojo/Kakashi version saying i know who the team up will be...thats just my assumption.

Ryuki-Exsul2026-01-24 21:53

Kiyomi is a girl with purple highlights and Hiyori is a pink haired girl that you can see in both op and end. Their names are in opening and in last episode. Anyway they just go on one mission together :D the story is about all of 1B. Granted I get it a bit because anime kind of is showing those three together because of that mission but you will see.

SnarkKnight962026-01-24 21:03

I forget her character's name but I thought it was funny that the purple haired e-girl had absolutely no lines this episode, because when I saw the trailer I was like "Oh Fairouz Ai's in this? I'll give it a shot". She must cost a lot of money with how much she's been in lately

Jess_74782026-01-24 22:00

to be fair it's got a darn strong cast

Fujisaki_Chihiro0012026-01-25 00:15

I mean not just her, all six of them have a strong cast of VA.

And the next episode is probably gonna be where we learn more about her.

SnarkKnight962026-01-25 01:02

I didn't mean JUST her tbf I just love the voice she gives Power and Darumi Amemiya specifically, its nice on the ears in a weird way

Muffin-zetta2026-01-24 21:10

Wow their paying for a dub of this show. That’s genuinely surprising

Alter_Kyouma2026-01-25 00:26

The teacher is the true ragebaiter given the way he decides to pair up people

SYZekrom2026-01-25 01:23

His personalized image for control is definitely gonna be like...

Imagining his sister being kind or something right

Ah huh, it looks like instead it's getting hate comments? Sure.

BusouDrago2026-01-25 02:27

Thought he'd imagine ice cream to cool/save his energy. But going Flamebaiter mode with everyone hating him worked

NoHead17152026-01-25 06:23

Flamebaiter being fueled by other people's hate is as real as it gets. MC's doing the baiting right. I wonder what other types of net personalities there will be. Very curious what that doll represents... some kind of Panda character?

Ryuki-Exsul2026-01-25 10:48

Opening already told you :D \[spoiler for Dead Account opening\] >!In opening you have all characters and their abilities when doll shows up you have zoom with "Hiyori Haijima Hardcore gamer powered doll" the full ending is about her!<I'm doing it like I was told last time, it's all in op but if you want it out in episode you will get it :D I can say that is not Panda situation because she is one of main characters.

ZylonBane2026-01-25 23:36

This week, on *In Another Battle Shōnen with my Smartphone*...

FarCritical2026-01-26 11:13

It's cool how smoothly the concept of a ragebaiter thriving off of negative attention translates into a battle shounen resource
