4 years after season 1 we got One Punch Man Season 2. Yeah I know when I talked about seaosn 1 I said it came out in 2016, but it didn't it was 2015, my bad. I will get to the criticisms that One Punch Man fans had when season 2 came out but first I wanna say that almost everything I liked in seaosn 1 was good here. While I don't think it's as funny or entertaining as everybody else I still enjoyed it quite a bit. There are funny or homorous scenes throughout. I think my favorite comedic gag isn't the fact that Saitama defeats all opponents in one punch, that's barely a gag, and if it is it's a pretty shallow one, but it's how nonchalant he often is while he does it. Sometimes he doesn't even notice that enemies are nearby right away. That's entertaining. Tatsumaki is still my favorite character, but her younger sister, Fubuki, was introduced this season, and honestly she's a close second if we're just talking about the waifu in the series. Then again there's not a ton of waifu in One Punch Man so far so I suppose there's not a lot of competition, but I assure you I like Fubuki a lot. The dynamic bateween Genos and Saitama is somewhat fun too, with Genos swearing servitude to Saitama despite the fact that Genos is a Class S Hero and Saitama isn't. I also like that Saitama's been quickly rising in the hero rankings without even realizing it because of others witnessig his heroic acts and reporting them to the hero association. I also like that this season formally introduced the hero association; them at the heros associated with them are pretty interesting, although we haven't seen a significant amount of many of them yet, aside from Tatsumaki, Fubuki, and Genos, but I've heard that characters like Atomic Samurai, among others, do great things later.

But now we get to the reaosn everyone complained about it at the time, the supposed bad animation. it's the same reason people hate season 3, although supposedly that one is even worse than this. I haven't seen season 3 yet. What I will say is that, I don't think it's "badly" animated. The animation definitely less impressive than in the first season there's no doubt about that. Although it also seems like there's more scenes this season with the characters just standing around talking than in the first season, and even in the first season those moments weren't heavily animated. Maybe that would skew how people looked at the visuals of the second season, but I'm not sure. But it is well animated for whta it is, even if it is a downgrade from the first season, and the fights are still incredibly entertaining to watch. Other than that I think the only thing I have left to say is this season introduced Garou, and he was a lot of fun. His backstory was over the top and silly, but somehow managed to be emotional at the same time. It's also an extremely unique origin for an anime and manga villain.
