I already know people are gonna say One Piece. I promise I have tried to give it a fair chance, but I just can’t get into it. I’ve watched like 75 episodes, it’s just not for me as much as I wish I could like it. Too “silly” and “unserious”. I don’t mind a bit of light hearted laughs here and there, but I want to enjoy badass characters, fights, challenges, great story, without all the distractions and ridiculous “silliness” for lack of a better word. I’m really wanting some to enjoy some more awesome anime series, so thanks in advance for any and all who respond to this with recommendations!

Based on what you like I HIGHLY recommend yuyu hakusho, it's by the same creater of hunter x hunter. I think you'd like Full metal Alchemist Brotherhood, Hells Paradise, and Soul Eater too.

Glitter Force Doki Doki was actually really good! Please do not confuse with original Glitter Force which, while similar, was really hokey in comparison and hard for me to get into.
