i think mayonaka girls will do better than expected even if the adaptation isnt anywhere near as pretty as the manga.

This is what no horse girls does to a bracket.
Of course, Oguri not being in here is just criminal.
Of these four my vote goes to Shisui. She is quite the charming insect obsessed little kook and \[Apothecary season 2 spoilers\] >!and a cunning political operator in her true persona of one of the imperial concubines. She is one of the more complex characters of the series and provided a lot of the heart of season 2. I was very happy to see that she survived and was able to embrace what I suppose was her true persona more fully.!<
Seasonal salt of winter 2026 will have the girl from Polar Opposites rank quite high, as well as Teoritta from Sentenced to be a Hero. I am not watching Shiboyugi but it is ranking enough karma that I predict one or more of the girls will end up on the list as well. Since the voter count for the season BG is lower than the numbered ones, I predict AQRADT will brigade for their seasonal darling and vote at least one of the Ikoku Nikki leads into the top 10. Finally, I think most of the sequels of popular anime will not have enough new characters introduced that will rank very high... unless there is some source reader favorite from JJK that I don't know of.
And as for Best Guy introduced in 2025, I'll go with Tsukasa from Medalist. A very positive influence as a mentor and a coach to the young heroine Inori, he also struggles with his own past failures and regrets all the while trying to help her succeed as a "late starter" where he himself failed.
Had Inori for "This is the place" yesterday and still wasn't enough to beat Reze...
As everyone knows, anime fans love nothing but medieval european girls.

Even Fujimoto himself became a fan again after the movie.
Personally I am having a hard time choosing between shisui and Monika for my favourite overall because they're both quirky and weird. I actually think shisui edges it for me.
It helps that shisui had a banger arc.
>Which girl do you support most among the remaining four? Briefly talk about her charm in your eye.
Monica. She's a badass shy math girl that's adorable whether she gets carried away doing math problems, dying of embarrassment in social situations, or crushing anyone that might hurt her friends.
>Make some bold predictions about seasonal salt winter 2026!
No show will have more than one girl in the top 10.
>Talk about your favorite new guy from 2025 anime!
I don't think that I have a definite favorite, it's more like a tie between
* Kabo from Wandance since I liked how he tried to express himself with dancing to overcome his stuttering instead of just giving up.
* Tsukasa from Medalist since he pursued his dream to the best of his abilities, and then he gave all his support to Inori to help her pursue her dream.
People love apothecary diaries, the novels and series are selling amazingly, the anime gets fantastic reviews. Just because Frieren is also fantastic doesn't take away from how good apothecary diaries is.
You're trying to use tiny metrics and a false narrative to call people racist against China for some reason. You need help.

MC2: Yuki vs. Teoritta in the finals. A bold prediction of no Frieren girl making it that far.
MC3: Tsukasa Akeuraji from Medalist was a delightful role model with the abs of a model
Abstaining from Kaoruko vs Shisui, both are great and it's too hard to decide.
>MC: Which girl do you support most among the remaining four? Briefly talk about her charm in your eye.
Monica is my top pick of the top 4, sliightly ahead of Shisui.. She is just adorable, kind-hearted and very fun to watch. I like her character journey of trying to slowly come out of her shell. I think she works perfectly well together with the rest of the cast. And she has a great character design looking overall just very cute.
>MC: Make some bold predictions about seasonal salt winter 2026!
Oh boy... Winter is just so goddamn stacked, both in amazing shows and in great girls. This will be a tough one to predict but it will be even tougher to vote for in the next contest. My personal top new girls so far are Luna (Champignon Witch), Shizuka (The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife) and Miyu (You and I Are Polar Opposites) but there are quite a few other ones I really enjoyed watching who might climb even higher for me. There are also quite a few high profile sequels whose main characters might not be able to join, but whose side characters will pull quite the punch.
As for bold predictions: I expect Miyu Suzuki to be the top seed, I expect no more than 2 girls from sequels in the top 8 and I expect the participation for Seasonal Salt Winter '26 to be at least 50% higher than that for Fall '25. Let's see how many of these hold true.
>MC: Talk about your favorite new guy from 2025 anime!
Finally an easy answer: Tsukasa Akeuraji from Medalist! He's perfect. I love how he enables Inori to live her dreams, the dreams he had for himself, but he never could fulfill. I love how he shares the complete joy of every single one of Inori's achievements. He is a great teacher, mentor and the best supporter you could wish for.
Havent watched the other show so I will not vote for Shisui, but Im surprised she made it this far over Alicia.
Alicia was 90% of the reason to watch Clevatess.. a shame she didnt make it to the final

MC:
1. Like I already answered. The girl was really smart but had a clear goal which she was ready to sacrifice herself for. And she survived and got free in the end. I really hope she'll get back to the story one day.
2. Which exact salt do you mean: anime, best girl or something else?
3. Misread the question at first thinking it is about Winter 2026 again. I would say Tsukasa from Medalist definetely. Also, Yagiuda from Sanda was a great underapreciated adult character.
The seasonal best girl salt winter 2026!
> Which girl do you support most among the remaining four? Briefly talk about her charm in your eye.
Monica Everet, she is shy and a bit of a coward socially speaking but she does push through when it comes down to it. She also loves math in a way I never could, which is endearing.
> Make some bold predictions about seasonal salt winter 2026!
Yuki from Shiboyugi will be the dark horse.
> Talk about your favorite new guy from 2025 anime!
Honestly, most anime I have watched this season so far hasn't introduced any new interesting dudes. Frieren will have a pretty good one though later on. Dou's father is pretty cool also I guess.
MC: Monica is the best new girl by far. She is just amazing as a timid yet powerful character with a rich personality and backstory. Also, she's a squirrel and makes squirrel sounds. If I ever have enough time again, I might learn how to do basic video edits and make a Monica squirrel sounds compilation.
As for Winter 2026, any random new Frieren side character will have decent chances. I can see the sword demon at #16, for instance. Same goes for JJK, OnK and Hell's Paradise, though I don't know whether any decent girls will appear in those. OnK has had all of its big hitters appear already, I'm sure. I want to say the same for Medalist, but unfortunately not too many people are watching that, and it's a shame.
So for actually new shows, I'm expecting Teoritta and Kivia from Sentenced to be a Hero to do very well. Also Miyu from Polar Opposites should perform well. The Journal With Witch girls will have a dedicated following but will show a middling performance. And then maybe Shiboyugi will perform decently well, but I'm not watching that yet so I can't tell.
My favourite new guy from 2025 might actually also be Felix from Silent Witch. His chemistry with Monica is just wonderful, but he's also very much a person of his own. Another contender would be Sanda, who encapsulates the central theme of the show so well. He's also just a good boy, and pretty cool as well.
**Shisui**
**The Silent Witch**
Mini-Challenge:
Monica > Reze > Shisui > Kaoruko
A super early best girl of Winter 2026 prediction from what I've seen so far is I think **Miyu Suzuki** from Seihantai na Kimi to Boku is a clear standout at the moment. I think **Yuuki** from Shibou Yuugi might get a top 4 seed. My other personal favorites I want to do well are **Ren Yamashiro** from MatoSure, **Scarlett Castiel** from Eris no Grail, **Akari Hiodoshi** from OsaRabu, **Rikka Inohana** and **Shinobu Uzuki** from MayoTune, and the girls from Chou Kaguya-Hime!.
>Which girl do you support most among the remaining four?
Reze because I dropped 2 of the other shows and I haven't checked out the 3rd yet.
>Briefly talk about her charm in your eye.
She's cute.

- Pink haired girl is gonna win
- I'm gonna call you all rude names for not crowning Yuki
>Talk about your favorite new guy from 2025 anime!
- Clevatess. Love his philosophy/perspective on life and all.
- Yuuri from Gnosia. I've always liked smart/deductive/scheming characters, and it's rare to get a non-evil one.
- Sanda. (Not much to say on him I guess, maybe I shouldn't include him on this top but wtv)

Real.
I feel like Monica is the perfect solution to the problem of an OP character in a story. Generally speaking, if you have a character that's too overpowered in a narrative, they can warp the narrative in dangerous ways. so they need something that prevents them from simply breaking the narrative. In Monica's case, it's her anxiety, self-esteem, and trauma. AND being forced into a situation where OP magic can't solve everything. fortunately she's also really smart, but her self-esteem and timidity prevent her from acting as quickly as she probably could to resolve issues. She notices things long before she acts on them, and it's not so much negligence as a lack of confidence in her own perceptions and instincts, as well as a general fear of confrontation. this is how you properly balance a character like the Silent Witch, with abilities that literally break the rules of the setting.
Suzuki will win.
Off the top of my head, Morihito Otogi's a great protagonist to follow. He's got a lot to him, like his incredible strong devotion and sense of responsibility to Nico, his tendency to care for others, his meticulousness to the point of obnoxiousness, his ease in committing to new and obscure hobbies, his level head and general capableness, the occasional time where those fail him and he screws up, his sick as hell fighting skills, and more. Shinohara called him the most difficult character to write in Witch Watch, and with his complexity that's easy to see.
Supporting Monica and Kaoruko this round, though I do like Shisui - who gets my support next round, if those two don't advance.
Monica because she's Bocchi the wizard, she's shy, nice, smart, and thoughtful. A great character with issues.
Rankings: Monica, Kaoruko, Shisui, abstain
I haven't watched a ton of Winter 2026, but Kinme Wakana from Wash It All Away, and Luna from Champignon Witch are already high on my board. I'm guessing other, more popular shows will probably do better in seasonal salt, as usual for me. It's somewhat uncommon that my favorite characters and shows of the season do well in these polls.
The Quarterfinals didn't really get a vote boost either. Hope the final 2 rounds will at least. Very impressive of Monica to match Shisui's vote total despite having the tougher opponent (by seeding). I'm sad that is at Renako's expense, but Renako has won a lot in the past month. She can make do without a contest win.
Kaoruko vs. Scarlet was very close which I wasn't entirely sure about.
Inori put up a good fight against Reze, but popularity difference definitely being felt here.
#**Today's Voting**
Easy Shisui vote now to talk about Reze vs. Monica. I am on the side of the Witch over a Devil. ~~Can't be big on them in a *Frieren* season...~~
___
>Which girl do you support most among the remaining four? Briefly talk about her charm in your eye.
Got charmed instantly by Monica when her younger self was using a ruler to measure anything. Plus her [reaction face](https://old.reddit.com/r/TheSilentWitch/comments/1lsbn6m/the_many_faces_of_monica_everett/) game is excellent.
> Make some bold predictions about seasonal salt winter 2026!
I think Makio can make it into the Semi-Finals. The big sequels probably do have multiple characters that will be in the Top 4 seeds, but I don't know if like Methode was in a seasonal contest before. Hard to keep track of that.
>Talk about your favorite new guy from 2025 anime!
I'll give it up for Arisu Yamabuki. Refreshing protagonist to have in a harem romcom.
