It's interesting how the character designs are simpler than S1 and the colors are "flatter", but it's like one of the best looking anime movies I've ever seen. Despite the toned down details, the drawings of the characters are clean and expressive and the action sequences are already praised enough.
A good example of how a distinct artstyle can enhance the visuals so much, in contrast to something traditionally gorgeous like KyoAni or Ufotable's works.

It's was so painful at the end denji is still waiting at the cafe and the bar attender said she will not come.
But actually reze came and died seeing denji in the cafe through the windows. It would have been great if they both are meet in the cafe and escaped.

Sure, the flower is symbolism. But, watching her facial expressions in real time is much more meaningful. Love how fluid and effortless the animation feels. This scene is one of the biggest reasons why I like the new art style better :)
