In need of some new 10/10 anime recommendations!
I’m looking for some new anime to watch that are actually 10/10. I feel like I’ve hit a wall and don’t know what to start next.
To give you an idea of what I like, these are my absolute favorites:
Death Note
Steins;Gate (and Steins;Gate 0)
The Apothecary Diaries
Code Geass
I really love shows with smart main characters, cool plot twists, and stories that actually hook you from the start. I don’t mind if it’s emotional or a bit dark, as long as the story is really good.
What are your personal 10/10 that you think I’d enjoy based on my list?

The users of this subreddit came up with [a chart of anime recommendations for newcomers and veterans](https://i.redd.it/0w1v880jtq661.png) and [an awesome longer flowchart](https://i.redd.it/vdzlkodz19c71.png). Maybe you can find something there that you'll like \^.\^

My next recommendation from my 10/10s is going to be something completely different - "[Hyouka](https://myanimelist.net/anime/12189/Hyouka)". A generally light hearted slice of life show centred around a smart main lead solving seemingly trivial but intriguing mysteries.
Honourable mentions:
Other shows to look into are "[Ghost in the Shell, stand alone complex](https://myanimelist.net/anime/467/Koukaku_Kidoutai__Stand_Alone_Complex)" from the early 2000s. I recommend the dub for this one - it'll be a lot easier to follow.
[Spice and Wolf ](https://myanimelist.net/anime/2966/Ookami_to_Koushinryou)(and it's [remake](https://myanimelist.net/anime/51122/Ookami_to_Koushinryou__Merchant_Meets_the_Wise_Wolf)), and to [Maoyuu Maou Yuusha](https://myanimelist.net/anime/14833/Maoyuu_Maou_Yuusha), which jokingly focuses on micro economics vs macro economics, with the leads trying to outmanoeuvre and manipulate the market to their advantage.
[Psycho-Pass](https://myanimelist.net/anime/13601/Psycho-Pass), for its depiction of smart and naive lead gradually wising up to the dark reality that underpins their supposed utopia, whilst retaining her optimism.
Finally if you want something modern look into [Shoushimin](https://myanimelist.net/anime/57810/Shoushimin_Series), another slice another solved around solving even more mundane mysterious than Hyouka, but with a few darker twists and more manipulation thrown in.
The most reliable picks for you I think would be Parasyte, Gurren Lagann, and FMAB, 3 shows almost nobody should miss
Darker Than Black
Cowboy Bebop
Outlaw Star
Yu Yu Hakusho
Trigun (the old one)
Summertime Rendering
Attack on Titan
I can also vouch for Made in Abyss
Given that you like *Death Note* and *Code Geass*, and smart main characters, I'll throw in *Classroom of the Elite* too. it's not the greatest thing in the world but it does scratch a very similar itch to those two when it comes to its main character.
Add *Kowloon Generic Romance*. There's a mystery that honestly doesn't rise to 10/10 on its own. But the rest of the story and **omg the aesthetics** close the gap.
Summertime Rendering
Parasyte the maxim
