Opinions on Redo of Healer?

okay well btw i like the idea of it, but with the show including some less than pg scenes, im worried its going to trigger me (a recovering hentai addict). my boyfriend really wants to watch the show with me but i just dont know if im comfortable watching it. anyone whos watched it, how bad are the sexual scenes? in your opinions do you think it would be considered triggering in that matter? (im a woman btw)

It was a hard watch for me mainly due to the sexual violence but I also understand the reasoning behind it. As long as you know what your going into it should be fine. Also be truthful with him about the reasons. You may be able to watch it one or two episodes at a time

The scenes are intensely sexual and rapey but not enough for Japanese pixelation. It’s revenge porn mixed with plenty of violence. Personally, I think it’s well done for *revenge porn* (and wish there’d be a sequel) but it’s not for the feint of heart and yes, it may trigger *something*.

My favorite episode is #2 where MC converts the antagonist with some persuasive… healing.

Other than being a trigger for some folks, I don’t see why it gets so much hate. There is plenty of subpar anime without the sexual content which become popular. Looking at you, High School of the Dead, Keijo…

And I don’t get why people downvote for having an opinion different than their own.

It's got cool details, like the torture scene in episode 2 is memorable in it's unhinged brutality and there's smart hint to Francisco Goya's terrors of war paintings at one of the later episodes.

But in general the main character was very unlikeable and at times the show forgot it was supposed to be dark and unhinged and instead went milquetoast hentai route.

There are rape scenes. Overall I think it's a story that isn't for normal people. There are h scenes in almost every episode. They are sickening. Literally the mc changes one of the girls looks, memory and overall controls her. Then fucks her. It's so cruel.

Nah, MC does not have control over the girls, at some point MC remarks it's strange the princess is not behaving like her usual evil persona (as he only altered the memories, he did not changed the personality) and suspects they are evil because the family or someone/something in the castle controlling them and making the royal family evil

As someone that watched this, please don't. It's exteremely sexual and cringe. There's rape scenes, grooming, and incest. I only watched it as a challenge because it was bad, but it was not worth it.
