Not really a fan of love triangles either, but I can deal with it when it's in the supporting cast. I mostly just don't like it when the drama of a love triangle is the major story beat that propels an entire arc/season/entire show. I personally watch romance for the fuzzy feels and happy endings, not to watch an entire season of will they/won't they only for 1 character to be rejected and hurt at the very end

Yes, it's a rom com.

The thing I like about it is that the male lead in that one is an upstanding dry buzzkill (an even bigger buzzkill than the one from 'Dumb Prefect') and the female lead is the perfect foil for his schtick.

And it is exactly because of the girl that the anime might not be a guarantee (starts out very horny and transforms into a more conventional story later on).

And also that one scene which I will NOT tell anyone about. The fun of that scene is all about not knowing that it's coming.

Ok this one isnt a good example because people already settled on dumb perfect pretty easily (which I want ro say is a dumb name but whatever) but shit like bunnygirl senpai comes to mind where its only the name of the 1st entry in the series but its used to refer to every other entry that doesnt have that in its name. Nobody uses "Rascal does not dream" which itself is a big mouthful. You can use the japanese version of that "seishun buta" but the official shortening of that is "aobuta" because fuck kanji readings amirite. So you have multiple names and its kinda bleh to figure out what the right one to use is

Yeah, I wish more shows picked specific English titles, rather than just a direct translation of the Japanese. e.g. "Erased" instead of "A town without only me" or "bokumachi".

Even a slight modification for the title can help - e.g. "Kaguya-sama: Love is War" seems to be the official English title, versus "Kaguya-sama wants to be confessed to".

I've sometimes wondered what a better English title for Bunny Girl Senpai would be - probably "Adolescence Syndrome" though admittedly that one still feels a bit awkward.

This is one of the only romance manga I follow that have an excellent evolution and throughline to the relationship. Sometimes it does go to incredible sideplots which aren't the main couple that are pretty phenomenal. Other times they don't hit the mark, but man, I really like this one.
