Question for bleach fans about episode (168)

Okay im watching bleach and im a bit confused. Im on episode 168, this is the episode after ichigo defeats grimmjow or whatever that espadas name was. 2 episodes later ichigo is back in the real world and out of hueco mundo. To be sure I didnt miss anything out of my own confusion I went back and watched the episodes again and still was a bit confused. So then I watched a video of what went on, which covered all the main plotpoints of the manga. I think i watched a little bit too far. Because aparently, after ichigo defeats the grimmjow the espada guy with the blue hair. Another person kidnapped orihime and then that little girl who cries a lot turned into the number 3 espada and all hell breaks loose. Is there more filler where im at? Because they appear to be back in the real world literally right after the arc. Im very confused haha😅

It's quite alright for a filler arc. Probably my favorite one out of them. (The next one is more popular though. (the Zanpakuto filler arc))

But it's still filler and the canon story is just more interesting than that. It depends on whether you are okay with taking a break from the story to go into a 20 episode arc that overall does not matter.
By the way, the other filler arc I mentioned cuts right into the hype of the more important canon parts of the arc, even more than this one does.

Another dumb question, is some of the filler only cannon to the anime? Because i found out that Ririn, Noba, and Kurōdo are all filler characters but they appear in cannon episodes and cannon arcs throughout the series. Im confused there too haha

Yeah, giving the filler characters those 10 minutes of additional screentime (including that one Jin Kariya hallucination) was an annoying choice, because now you can't just tell people to skip the filler without mentioning that.
I wouldn't even call them "canon to the anime", because after these few and short appearances shortly after the filler ended, you'll never see any of them again, not even in the background, as far as I remember.

^(By the way, it's canon with one n, unless you're gonna breach some castle walls.)

Bleach filler ranges from actually decent to offensively boring.

Congrats! You got to the second filler arc, the New Captain Shusuke Amagai/Bakoto arc

It's not bad animation and story wise (especially if like me you love Izuru Kira) but it's skippable.

Also after that arc I believe you're clear with canon material until the end of the overall arc then there's another lengthy filler arc that is ok but very what if fight

And then you're free of filler arcs, finish up the Fullbringer arc and you're ready for the Thousand Year Blood War!

Also I would recommend the movies they're short,sweet and really cool, especially Memories of a Nobody since it's been canonized recently!
