#### This is the first annual salt final in which both are girls premiere in a sequel and both would make history to become the first girl to premiere in a sequel and win the annual salt.

Only one seasonal semi-finalist (Chika Fujiwara) has entered the annual salt final. Would Shisui break the curse and unite with her best friend Maomao to enter the fall of fame for the annual salt and make the apothecary diaries the first series to win two annual salts?

Reversing the momentum tremendously in the semi-final to beat “Bocchi the witch” to reach the final, Reze has taken revenge for the Chainsaw Man series for the unforgettable loss to the pink Bocchi, Would she finish her revenge story to become the first girl ever to get an annual win who premieres in a movie and make Chainsaw Man become the first series to not win the annual salt with its first season but make a comeback with its sequel?

Noooo!!! Monica got destroyed. I guess that Reze post on the top of the sub yesterday really helped sway the results, as, going from prior results and comments on these posts, a result this onesided was not to be expected.

As for my final vote, I'm gonna go with Shisui. Ilike her character arc, her character design and her personality more. Reze is by no means a bad pick (I even voted for her in Best of Fall all the way) and she did leave a big impact in the movie, but I personally would not see her over Shisui.

What are you talking about? We're considering a group that was drawn to this contest *specifically drawn in because of Reze*. Are you honestly arguing that any of them are likely to have voted for Monica instead? What stopped them from voting for Monica was that they were here because of Reze.

If it was about people coming in and honestly considering who to vote for, that would have actually been an argument for more votes on Shisui's side considering [Apothecary Diaries S2] >!she outperformed the CSM girls in BG 13, and Apothecary Diaries girls on average (due to a big outlier, mind you) vastly outperformed CMS girls in the past.!< What we have here are Reze voters, not merely contest voters. I'm not even calling them CSM voters. There's about a 100 votes gap between the two matchups, 100 voters who only voted in Reze vs. Monica, the numbers are clear.

The problem is that Cinderella Grey wasn't that popular at the time yet, and Uma Musume itself exploded more with the global launch of the game, increasing the popularity of CinGrey later on. That means she didn't perform very well in her debut contest and lost too early to be eligible for best girl of the year. I think she wasn't even in the pick-up round.

No, no, not like this. Monica deserved the win. And the voting share seems to hint at a bit of "brigading", given how much Reze's votes increased and how suddenly there's a much bigger vote total in her matchup than in Shisui's, while before Shisui's matchups always had the most voters.

As such, I'm no longer interested in the outcome of this contest. If there is brigading, my vote doesn't matter. I also do not particularly care about the two characters, for different reasons. Reze, well, to keep it vague, is someone I can understand people would like but I can't overlook her flaws. Also she just kicked out Monica, and there's no excusing that.

Shisui... that's very complicated. I do like her, and think she should win over Reze, objectively. The second cour of Apothecary Diaries S2 truly made her such a deep and interesting character, letting her shine, and by all means made her a valid best girl of the year. However, I just can't get over the fact that [Apothecary Diaries S2] >!she already competed in the big contest as Loulan and performed very well, and is now coming back to a smaller contest. That's like playing in the world cup and then going back to regionals. I know it's irrational, but I feel Shisui is smurfing, and I can't support her, unfortunately.!<

I'll gladly put in a vote for third place though, where I can vote for the true best girl of the year once more. Go Monica, get those nuts!

There's the vote boost near the end of the contest. It seems certain fans have been made more aware of it than others, but more votes is more votes. Just wish it was there earlier in the contest.

So Shisui wins against Kaoruko in a close 364-306 fight, but Reze won against Monica in a 502-276.
