Seeing someone sew clothes on a train station is very relaxing for me.

I almost wonder how many people in /r/laundry are watching this show (or even interested)?
it reminds me of Golf Story, an RPG video game where all the quests just happen to be things like "if only there was *someone* around here who could get this small round object into that tiny hole over there??"
I like how Nairo feels like Kinme’s little sister lol. Those two are so cute.
That big festival looks like it’ll be fun. Looking forward to it.
Matsuris in Japan are really quite amazing. We've been to a couple -- a major one in Takayama (home of Hyouka) and a medium large one in Fukuoka.
It was really cool to learn the meaning of those labels on clothes and also about deodorant; that happens with some of my clothes.
So Kyu is a popular guy, definitely not expecting that, maybe his stoic demeanor helps with that.
And I have to agree with Moruda, Kinme has a total onee-chan vibe, even more so because of the way she whispered in Kyu's ear
This show is all about keeping things clean and neat, and yet it's hard to keep clean thoughts with the way they show off the female cast lol.
>So Kyu is a popular guy, definitely not expecting that, maybe his stoic demeanor helps with that.
He's also diligent and responsible, with the way he contributes to his family inn and also helps out Kinme. I think that's what attracts Kinme to him.
[](#hikariactually)
I believe Google will do an image search to tell you the meanings of the symbols if you take a picture of the label for a particular item of clothing. There's also various prints/magnets/etc that you can get as laundry room art that includes what they mean as well.
Came to that conclusion on the first episode lol
[](#sakurathink)
Yeah, but, you know, it almost feels innovative. Usually it's just panty shots!

> So Kyu is a popular guy, definitely not expecting that, maybe his stoic demeanor helps with that.
Despite what the internet tells you, I've learned that being a quiet introvert isn't necessarily a disadvantage when it comes to getting girls. A quiet stoic guy can pull as many girls as a cheery outgoing guy if they're manly enough (and of course, being good looking helps).
It was kinda funny [watching Kinme get triggered](https://i.imgur.com/1Y6Av5N.png) by watching Kuriru that [she just had to intervene.](https://i.imgur.com/61gQnER.png) I can't blame her. [Kuriru was ruining her clothes with that antibacterial spray.](https://i.imgur.com/SvKsWJZ.png) Also, can you imagine the smell? >_<
[Seems like Kinme and Kyuu have been crossing paths a lot recently](https://i.imgur.com/yxSax7l.png). And it's surprising to know [that Kyuu is popular at school.](https://i.imgur.com/OKekPoy.png) I love that [Kuriru is already giving Kinme a heads up](https://i.imgur.com/48lkhd2.png) that she'll have competition.
I know Kinme is saying she's not interested in Kyuu that way, but [they really seem to be becoming closer.](https://i.imgur.com/n9satUw.png)
You can tell that Kyuu being there to support her, and offering it willingly, when she really needed it meant a lot to her. Of course she's also just the kind of girl who acts really open and "friendly" with anyone, especially boys, though it feels like the connection between her and Kyuu keeps deepening by the episode.
In Japan, it's a bit weird because Kinme is necessarily at least ~~21~~ 20 (since she can legally drink) whereas Kyuu is at most 18.
Drinking age is 20 in Japan.
What I'd give to be Kyuu. He's the luckiest man in the world to be able to experience the Kinme ASMR. Bet Moruda's heaps jealous about it.
Kinme cleavage? I sleep. Kinme ASMR with Sayumi Suzushiro's voice? I blush.
The previous episodes showed Kinme bringing up her amnesia without much hesitation, so I liked seeing her stumble in conversation when asked a question she can't answer. Personal history questions are a common offer to form a bridge, but Kinme has to reject it and give a reason that derails the conversation to a road she's no doubt walked down a few times in the last two years.
I started to try and criticize the show for the amount of scenarios requiring Kinme's abilities, but cleaning has a very broad and commonly applied skill set. I feel like I've watched other "SoL with a Professional Hook" that feel a little contrived providing opportunities for a niche.
[and I feel their parents could have a whole romcom story for themselves. I wonder whats up with those two](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/daf47df77bfb.png)
Delinquent couple with hot redhead waifu? I need to see these two grown up. Though it does make you wonder where they are now that their kids are living on their own (and not necessarily well).
Love this show on every level. So many attractive and appealing characters, with a warm vibe on everyone and the whole community feels so welcoming. Plus great slow builds about them. Another anime that seems built to make us want to visit Japan. 😄
The twins are a nice addition to the cast.
Kinme going out of her way to help Wakasagi (Yoshino Aoyama) pro bono because this girl with her lazy, carefree, ways clearly needs help learning to properly manage her clothes...and her living area. Like, even if she and her brother are living on their own together, that's no excuse for letting their apartment be such a pigsty.
I love Kinme giving out all these tips on properly maintaining school uniforms and other clothing, as well as important washing and cleaning facts, while Wakasagi is just standing skirtless in front of her. Kind of rare that the fanservice is with a supporting character instead of Kinme for once.
My condolences' to Wakasagi's (younger) twin brother, who ends up having to do everything around the house and help his sister undress. If only the perfect older sisters who adore their little brother didn't only exist in anime! But Kinme DOES exist, so she can be his TRUE big sis! Meanwhile Kyu just can't seem to stop running into Kinme.
Nairo is so adorable wanting to show off her drumming skills for the festival...and she'll nuzzle herself into Kinme's boobs until she agrees to go watch her practice.
The Wakasagi's parents were delinquents? Fairly attractive delinquents, at that? Kyu's mom was pretty cute in her youth as well.
Kinme better watch out! She's finding herself fond of Kyu when he's already very popular with girls...then again, Kinme herself is also oblivious to the effect she has on men, so I guess it evens out!
Thank goodness they brought Kinme to the festival uniforms, because thanks to a leaky roof they have stains and mold that only Kinme pulling an all-nighter can fix...and luckily for her Kyu is there to rope his friends into helping her out. And that he was willing to assist her means a lot to Kinme, enough to thank him with some sweet ASMR. Now THAT made him blush!
Nairo is back and wants to have Kinme watch her practise for the taiko drumming. We get a bit more of Kinme's history that she remembers (which amounts to revealing she's only lived in town for two years).
The worst bit of the episode is more "teasing" about a possible romantic interest with Kyu. Sigh.
This was probably my least favorite episode so far, but still watchable.
Maybe we'll be surprised and she rejects him
This series feels more like a 20+ something woman having romantic chemistry with a 16yo. Hopefully it turns out the age gap is like it was between Yamada and Akane, if this series chooses to "go there"...
If romance was the route they were going for I feel like it would've been a miss not to have a big emotional moment between Kinme and her love interest connecting to her lost memories in the premiere. The show instead has focused on a lot of different side characters and feels squarely slice of life
yeah, i feel like this show is a bit more in-your-face with the fanservice
i can't deny that Ruri Rocks has some of that with one of its central characters built like an Amazonian war priestess, but i think they limited her for-reals fanservice to that one scene with the maid outfit
it seems like a lot of people are fine with it or love it, but to me it kind of brings me out of the ideal comfy zone (especially in comparison with HimeGou which airs on the same day)
The parents of the new siblings look like a fun couple, but with their children living alone there might be a sad story regarding them.
I was kind of expecting them to pan by one of the festival pictures and show a younger Kinme.
We're definitely getting a relationship between Kinme and the kid aren't we.
Me too; that seemed like an obvious setup for another clue about her past.
They're together too often and teased about each other way too much for nothing to happen at this point.
The amnesia thing feels like a looming subject but I hope it’ll be nothing too dark or tragic. Cos the show has been really heartwarming and relaxing. Maybe the workload aside, going around town delivering for work and meeting new people seems like such a lovely life to me.
Also, I do enjoy the light fanservice. It’s not in-your-face and well, can’t complain if I’m getting a bit of eye candy lol
It's no surprise that [Moruda was smitten](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/dc0c04105526.png) with [Kinme](https://imgchest.com/p/lqyenakgkyd), her smile is [truly angelic](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/05a724ef4adb.png) and her onee-san vibes are so strong!
I think this is [the first time Kyu has had such a clear reaction to Kinme](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/2c0da92c0bf0.png) after [she whispered to him](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/9dae79030830.png) today, it seems he's not immune to her either xD
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

Like don't freeze to death outside of yuru camp.
And I also learned how to tame a loner via camping and food from futari solo camp, lol
I wonder where the twins' parents are at if they're both living alone like that.
After a few episodes my reaction to the fanservice is that it has been relatively tasteful and brief... up to today, when the button-popping bodice-ripping and that's a nice color of green you're wearing there missy *stuck out* more prominently.
It's still fairly modest about the teases.
Kinme taking on *even more* side projects feels like either blessed with the usual main character energy, coping with her amnesia issues by never stopping long to think, or has to hit a certain number of clothes-maintaining tips per episode. Perhaps all three things simultaneously.
Small world, of course, meeting the sister of the friend of her peculiar high schooler relationship.
Anyway, still relaxing for a Monday show.
Girl should be participating in marathons seeing that she does harder "training" than actual marathon runners.
--------
I know she is written to be basically the perfect woman, but I am not sure how not everybody is completely head over heels for Wakana on first sight. She is beautiful, kind, earnest, a hard worker, athletic, cute and a little playful. I really just hope her backstory isn't as bad as the story is hinting at, though I guess that aspect and wanting to protect her is also part of the appeal of the character. Sayumi Suzushiro is also doing an excellent job with her voice.
----------------
The show is set in [Atami](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atami), a city of about 37,000 people on the northwestern end of the Izu peninsula in Shizuoka. I really like it when a show has some local flair and depicts landmarks and keeps to a real layout of a city, rather than being set in a no-name place or is just Tokyo again.
------------
Yoppii playing another brusque high school girl is also something I am definitely not opposed to.
As for this episode I dearly hope the twin brother does not get much screen time, he's the first character in this show that I actively dislike in a way that it detracts from my overall enjoyment of the show. Even the sister was less annoying though I didn't love her either, fan service or no.
The boy with glasses was hilarious but it was strange that he thought of Kinme as the perfect sister but also wanted to get it on with her. I liked how his sister kept making fun of him in front of Kinme though and he got really mad. They still left it ambiguous though if Kinme has a crush on Kyu but it wouldn't surprise me if she did. I think he likes her though.
I wonder why Kinme was willing to clean all those moldy uniforms herself, that is taking on a lot, especially when you are the only worker at your business. I also wonder exactly how the kids are going to help her, like what would they know about mold removal from clothing.
The part about Kinme teaching the girl about clothing care was interesting. Doing laundry 3x a month isn't really that infrequent for one person, I do it like 2x a month and have plenty of clean clothes, towels and sheets. Then again she probably doesn't have a ton of identical uniforms so that could be a pain. I did know about brushing certian types of clothing, like i used to brush my suits. I didn't know though they used to have different clothing care labels 10 years ago. I suspect this was just in Japan because I looked at an old T-shirt from the 2000s i had and it had the same modern care labels so they probably changed their standard to fit the rest of the world.
bucking expectations aside, it makes me wonder what the central thrust of the story is because i don't see a connecting thematic thread between befriending teenagers, cleaning clothes, and the human condition
like, Ruri Rocks talks big about the role of science and growing the bubble of knowledge, HibiMeshi talks about getting out of your comfort zone and enjoying what life has to offer, Food Court was about treasuring people you can be real with, but i'm not sure what i can say about this show other than "life is weird sometimes"
[](#schemingsaten)
The show itself is presented beautifully, but like what are we really doing here? lol
And I'm not even necessarily against those things in a show, but even trying it's best to blend this all together, it still clashes for me. Maybe this is their attempt at subtle, but I find it unbalanced. If it's gonna be unbalanced, they gotta go all-in on whatever they want as the plot. Or make the show about how the main is an expert at clothes, taking care of shop and customers of the town, with a cleavage shot just every once in awhile..but now it just feels like the plot is woman having huge interest in the boy, she does cleaning services on the side. And even supporting characters are going hard on this romance/fan service stuff. Basically I now think the show is about horndogs hiding under slice of life premise. I'm really gonna consider my continuation of this show if next episode drop keeps up this pace.
Pay no mind to my opinion, just a personal rant lmao
I guess I thought we'd get 'Journal with Witch' vibes (slice of life), but it wants to be 'Tune In to the Midnight Heart' (story, but with occasional fan serve jokes) under the cover of 'The Invisible Man and His Soon to be Wife' (experts helping people with wholesome relation/development), but with side of extra raunch just at the border of the goofy fan service in 'You Can't be in a Rom-Com with Your Childhood Friends!', except in 'Wash It All Away' the circumstances are serious ones..if that visual makes any sense lmfao.
The show is good...I just felt deceived after setting my expectations so high lol.
Someone's certainly in a hurry.
That feels like a _lot_ of Febreeze to be putting on?
Boing. Uh oh.
Well, that works.
Lol she finally couldn't take it anymore.
And so now she's at her place.
Absolute girlfailure hours lol.
I mean that's why you wash clothes...
Lmao I literally just watched a clip from LTT's WAN Show where Linus said he insisted to his merch team that all or at least most of the clothes he sells as merch are able to be just thrown in the washing machine because he knows his audience wouldn't even read the labels. Like the girl here Linus's co-host Luke _didn't even know about the labels in the first place_.
I'm sure she'd also appreciate not having to deal with clothes that were _really_ bad...
Oh wait her brother is friends with that guy?
Damn she really came in right at the last minute...
What's with the sticks?
Oh, taiko drum sticks?
That feels like a pretty consistent rhythm.
Boing.
That's cute.
Oh, they're here too.
Uh oh, well, this seems like a job for her.
And so they're going to help too.
Little Town of life animes I feel like need that season.
Bro Kyu is the most milquetoast looking guy, I don't see how they see him as a handsome popular guy.
I think I would have preferred if the show centred itself about the Dry Cleaning, and we get to know the Girl Girl through her interactions with the customers that come through the shop. Shit, they could have made it go darker, like something from Kinme's past re-introducing itself into her life. Like some drug lord King Pin or something.
As much as I don't mind fanservice, I am starting to feel as though the writers of the show really didn't have much to work with, but instead of making a shorter episode length (Like how they did a \~12-14 minute episode length with "Let's Make a Mug, Too!") they just filled it with "Hey! LOOK!!!! LOOK AT THIS CLEAVAGE!!!!!!!!!"
