Did anyone watch Cosmic Princess Kaguya ?

I don’t fully understand the time loop. I am confused on the whole 8000yr thing. Did she meet her once before now ? Or was it the present and when she heard Kaguya’s song for her she then left for earth and got sent back 8000yrs by mistake? I’m so confused lol

Kaguya met her.

The got separated. She tried to go back, lost control and ended up 8000 years in the past. The original Kaguya hime story was created by her. She eventually became a sentinent digital being in that cocoon and created the Tsukiyomi world to help reunite her with the MC.

The MC gets into robotics to create a vessel for Kaguya to inhabit. 10 years later she is successful.

Ok got it. It just sounded a little confusing in terms of the when they met part. I was unsure of if they met and it was just a different loop they met in. And Kaguya was trying to come back to a loop that she would see Iroha again or not.

She saw Iroha again as the form of Yachio and set up the competition to bond.

Yeah there’s a lot of time loop errors in this movie.

I hope you realize the Kaguya story is an old Japanese legend and Ghibli's version is not the original of anything.

Both movies are adaptations of the old myth that have nothing to do with each other.
