You know that's the thing that always gets me about anime bandits. They're always this organized gang in a camp or hideout somewhere. That's almost never how it went down, it was highly rare in fact. Maybe you'd run into those types shortly after a war if they were deserters, but they'd always disperse or otherwise be beat down by the local authorities.
More commonly bandits had day jobs like being farmers or craftsmen, and were hit by a bout of economic strife. They'll get together and raid a few travelers and then hide until things cooled down. They're more like insurgents conducting guerilla warfare than anything else. So if someone wants inspiration as to how feudal era bandits conducted their activities, someone only would need to look as far as the Middle East, South America, or Vietnam to get an idea as to how that might play out.
So when I see scenes like this where someone just casually talks about wiping out bandits as if it's like going shopping in the next town over I just shake my head.

Like, not making fun or what have you I do the same thing with some of the shows that go into explaining the "physics" of their spells/powers in a way that makes absolutely no sense. I’m fine with most magic systems/their explanations because magic isn’t supposed to make sense. (Consider the following as building on your point)
Tensei slime -> formulaic but magicules are fake
Irregular at magic school -> tricked rocks into doing magic
Bastard magic instructor -> change the chant pace for results. Also alchemy. Also tarot cards.
Lord of mysteries -> potions/alchemy and imagery
Fullmetal alchemist -> either alchemy or blood magic, unless you consider these the same thing
I take more issue with socioeconomic things that don’t make sense, personally, since you can’t just wave away plot holes as easily. I will say however that breaking any rules they set for how their magic systems work will also break my suspension of disbelief, consistency is important

Frieren's spherical shields always bother me. They're made up of regular hexagons, but hexagons tile a plane. They can't turn inwards. You'd need other shapes, like the hexagon-pentagon mix of a football. And Richter has shown that mages can make shields of other shapes.
There is magic in Frieren's world, so physics might not work the same as our world, but it has not been shown that geometry works differently.
