How to tackle One Piece?
Hey everyone! I’m rather new to anime and I’ve been watching mostly shorter shows so far - stuff with only one or two shorter seasons like Violet Evergarden, Apothecary Diaries, Frieren, Ouran High School Host Club, and Death Note to name a few. I was recommended One Piece by a friend, which I was hesitant to start because of the sheer number of episodes and how long it would take for me to catch up. Nevertheless he convinced me to watch the first three episodes, which I loved and now I’m hooked.
Obviously, I have other shows on my watchlist that I would like to get around to, and I would still like to have a life and go outside every once in a while. So is there a particular way to go about getting through this show? My idea was that I could alternate between seasons of One Piece and a season of another show. Is this a good idea? How have you all gone about watching a show with over 1000 episodes?
Thank you!

Dont learn from, this is a terrible way to do it
Make sure to analyze what you’re reading deeply though.
It’s a series with a lot of clues, hints, and patterns you can spot.
Enjoy it while it lasts man.
* Acknowledge what you wanna get into and save us the eventual bitching about pacing
* Watch from One Pace which is a fan edit that cuts down on filler and fluff as much as possible while still maintaining the integrity of the episodes
* Read the manga and pace it yourself without the filler and fluff the anime puts into it.
Also, please for the love of fuck - no. You don’t skip canon arcs just because they’re slow. They’re canon and have information that’ll come up later. Yes. You can skip filler. Here is a list. No it still doesn’t make a difference, it’s still over 1000 episodes.
[One Piece filler](https://www.animefillerlist.com/shows/one-piece)
Editing for reference: There are only 91 filler episodes out of 1,155. That means there are still 1,064 episodes to watch. Yes, it’s a lot.
It's interesting and I didn't get bored
So completed in a month
