Hi JuniorJump6839, it seems like you might be looking for new anime to watch!

The users of this subreddit came up with [a chart of anime recommendations for newcomers and veterans](https://i.redd.it/0w1v880jtq661.png) and [an awesome longer flowchart](https://i.redd.it/vdzlkodz19c71.png). Maybe you can find something there that you'll like \^.\^

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and Brave Bang Bravern!

JuniorJump68392026-01-26 21:34

Thanks I’ll look into these

DataUserOne2026-01-26 23:22

I also suggest Gurren Lagann. One of my absolute favorites

CaseyTheArtist912026-01-26 21:47

Gurren Lagann is my absolute favorite!

You can watch the 1979 Mobile Suit Gundam or you can watch the 3 compilation movies if you're interested in it.

Evangelion is also great.

JuniorJump68392026-01-26 21:38

If I watch Gundam is it necessary to watch all the timelines?

Jusenkyo_52026-01-26 21:41

Not at all.

Most Gundam series are self contained in the sense that they don't relate to any other releases.

Mobile Suit Gundam, Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, ZZ Gundam, and Char's Counterattack are all direct sequels that compose the main part of "Universal Century" Gundam.

You could watch Wing, 00, or Seed if you want standalone Gundam entries as well.

Saiyavato2026-01-26 21:38

Eureka Seven, RahXephon, Code Geass, Guilty Crown and Patlabor just to name a few

Ponchorello72026-01-26 21:41

Escaflowne is pretty good.

Knee_High_Cat_Beef2026-01-26 21:43

If you like transforming mechs, Macross is a great series.

Delaney202026-01-26 22:15

Seconding this suggestion. You'll sometimes find it listed as Robotech in the west, but, as a transformers fan, I'm sure you'll be interested in knowing that the original transformers toys were designed off of repurposed Macross toys. I'm sure you'll notice the design similarities.

jegonzales2026-01-26 21:46

Code Geass brotherrr that’s an instant watch, darling in the franxx for mecha kaiju type battles and a little romance action, neon genesis is also another great one

Skaven132026-01-26 21:52

Evangelion and then go for FLCL, what is Evangelion on crack. 😅

Icchan_2026-01-26 21:55

You've ever heard of my anime list?

now you have... use it :)

Sufficient-Ad16742026-01-26 21:56

My favorite that a lot of people seem to dislike is aldanoah zero.

dralcax2026-01-26 21:56

If you like Transformers then look into the Brave series!

dfiekslafjks2026-01-26 21:58

If we listed all the mecha shows it would be 50 pages long. Maybe you should just start with a single year or decade.

Heda-of-Aincrad2026-01-26 22:42

Gundam is a good choice. I started with the standalone series like Witch From Mercury, Build Fighters, Iron-Blooded Orphans and 00.

Full Metal Panic is my favorite mecha series, and also my favorite anime in general, so I recommend checking that one out too!

DataUserOne2026-01-26 23:22

I also recommend Code Geass.

Alucard_Leartes2026-01-26 23:41

Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans

Quiddity1312026-01-27 05:27

RahXephon, The Big O, Armored Trooper Votoms, Star Driver, Gurren Lagann, Heavy Metal L-Gaim, Eureka Seven, Invincible Superman Zambot 3, Fang of the Sun Dougram, Escaflowne, Eighty Six, Space Runaway Ideon and Code Geass are all good. I could probably rattle off another 25+ easy.
