The basic idea is that an innocent delivery man (who is blonde) was driving a truck to haul his deliveries when he’s thrown in jail by an oppressive empire because of slight error. A package containing heavy weapons was found in the back of a truck because the resistance movement in the setting accidentally put it in the wrong truck and he took the fall for it. Now, he’s busted out thanks to the resistance responsible for ruining his life and just join them because what else is there for a write off criminal like himself? There’s also a deuteragonist who’s you’re typical hopeful, bright-eyed, naive young man working as a soldier for the oppressive governing body who works directly under a sociopathic lieutenant that uses the excuse of executing criminals to satiate his desire for bloody murder (he dies midway through the first season).

What really caught me was the setting. Set in this early 1900s WWI era with old fashioned cars and guns along with swords and the badasses who use them to cut bullets at point blank. Also magical wizards.
