Maybe

Uma-apreciator2026-01-27 01:09

If don't like, try Uma Musume Cinderella Gray first, the races are more intense and looks like shounen battles

the-big-dingo2026-01-27 01:00

> re zero 1/10

Hmmm interesting

The-wiz-man2026-01-27 01:01

It’s not good in my opinion

the-big-dingo2026-01-27 01:02

What were your problems with it

The-wiz-man2026-01-27 01:03

A lot of the writing is really lazy and feels like it has a different person that changes each episode

zackphoenix1232026-01-27 01:08

Damn, now I'm curious.

The-wiz-man2026-01-27 01:10

Don’t watch it besides season 1

the-big-dingo2026-01-27 01:12

I’m sorry I can’t take someone serious when they say re:zero has lazy writing while giving monster muse a 5/10 when it’s just censored monster girl hentai.

The-wiz-man2026-01-27 01:15

At least for monster muse I don’t have people calling it deep and can just have a good time watching it

the-big-dingo2026-01-27 01:17

Ah I see it in your post history you’re 14 lol.

You’re just horny

The-wiz-man2026-01-27 01:18

I don’t care about the sexual part I ran out of romcoms and just gave it a shot

the-big-dingo2026-01-27 01:19

Sure bud.

Have a good one

Strawbelly222026-01-27 01:29

What a lazy excuse to diminish someone's opinion. You sound more like 14 than OP.

Personally, I hated Re:Zero, too and found it to be extremely cringe how someone so annoying and braggy practically builds a harem without doing fuck all. I watched a character analysis on Subaru and it made me appreciate him a lot more, but my initial reaction was the exact same.

As for OP: You might enjoy Death Note, Attack on Titan, Code Geass, School Days and Hunter X Hunter

the-big-dingo2026-01-27 01:32

Sorry that I can’t take someone serious that finds monster muse to have better writing than re:zero .

And I wrote it off to him being a horny 14 year old .

Cause you know monster muse is literally just censored monster girl hentai with no writing .

UMP45isnotflat2026-01-27 01:07

Definitely a wild take

the-big-dingo2026-01-27 01:08

His reasoning is certainly a take too

UMP45isnotflat2026-01-27 01:12

Yeah, I get valid criticism but saying Re Zero has bad writing is definitely a take

the-big-dingo2026-01-27 01:13

While giving a show like monster muse a 5/10

TheMightyAvocado2026-01-27 01:01

Sleepy Princess based on your rankings for Konosuba and Dragon Maid. It isn't the highest production quality, but very funny each episode.

The-wiz-man2026-01-27 01:01

Ok I’ll check it out

Hope you enjoy it!

goodbuggs2026-01-27 01:09

Those Sonic X and Re:ZERO ratings hurt my soul

The-wiz-man2026-01-27 01:11

Sonic x just wasn’t really calling my name and re zero is just bad

goodbuggs2026-01-27 01:12

What episode did you drop Re:ZERO on?

The-wiz-man2026-01-27 01:14

Like volume 20

Zeruma_2026-01-27 01:26

So you read it you didnt watch it?

The-wiz-man2026-01-27 01:27

I watched season one and two and then read the novels

Zeruma_2026-01-27 01:30

I’m so lost how someone watches 2 seasons of a show proceeds to buy and read the light novel then say it’s got lazy writing.

Was that not noticeable to you during season 1 ? Why continue ?

The-wiz-man2026-01-27 01:31

I thought season 1 was actually pretty good tho had issues and even tho I didn’t like season 2 that much I decided to read the novels and just gave up at a point

SagesFury2026-01-27 02:47

Maybe watch some older shows that hold up pretty well. I am a bit biased towards shows that are fully adapted though so anything that was treated as an "ad for the novel / manga" I generally avoid.

Code Geass: two seasons for an entirely complete story arc with not too much filler. Iconic sound track and characters.

Hellsing Ultimate: 10 1 hour long episodes that just keep building to ridiculous levels. Has a pretty good ending and a really funny and iconic abridged fan dub to watch afterwards.

Spice and wolf: Slower adventure romance anime about a wolf god and a merchant. Really well written light novel and the Anime/Manga do a decent job reflecting it. Its certainly not for everyone but its a much more mature take on romance then 95% of Anime. Not fully adapted but on track to be with the reboot. (Original was cut short but it was good enough for me to go buy the light novels and manga). Also Horo was is r/anime best girl for a good while.

Clannad/ Clannad Afterstory: First season is slice of life high school romance, nothing particularly special... but it sets up one of the best second seasons in the history of Anime. Just for example Clannad is rank #733 on MAL while the second season is #18 and has been in the top 20 for the last decade. Not sure I know of a second season with a bigger jump then that. Basically season 1 follows the script of a dating visual novel and season 2 is the epilogue that does its own thing with one of the dating routes and get into more serious adult life topics.

The Eminence in Shadow: It is basically a parody isekai like Konosuba but with a protagonist with One Punch Man levels of power, Kazuma's level of luck and hard core crippling Autism.

RascalNikov12026-01-27 05:35

So, what’s wrong with Re:Zero?

The-wiz-man2026-01-27 05:55

The writing mainly
