I am 16F and my two little sisters are 12F and 10F. They’ve recently got into anime (specifically my hero academia) and you all know how weird that fandom can be. I have been watching anime, reading BL manga and reading fanfiction etc. for 6 years now.

i’ve mentioned it briefly to my little sisters so they feel comfortable talking to me about their interests. but now i feel like they are getting exposed to too much so soon. like they keep searching up “bakudeku kissing“ on safari...

i don’t know how much google censors stuff because they keep tapping on external links taking them to pinterest, instagram and other sites that have this fanart.(pinterest and insta can have VERY sensual or innappropiate fanart) I also accidentally talking too much about the more mature shows ive really enjoyed like hazbin hotel and other BL shows, and now they’re becoming too much like me! its gotten to a point where my older sister 18F has noticed and said i need to limit what i say to them..

I talked to them about how much I loved the show haikyuu!! and just talked about the characters and the storyline, and now my little sisters are searching up, fanart from that show when they haven’t even watched it. like “kenma fanart” or “kenma and bakugo”.

they won’t listen to me when i tell them to stop going on youtube shorts, i’m worried ive become such a bad influence. i don’t want them to start reading smut like i did when i was 12.. becuase my youngest sister is only 10!! why the hell is she searching up fanart of two guys kissing?

also, it’s not just me introducing them to anime they have friends and cousins that are also deep in the mha fandom and who send them fanart/memes so it’s not just me but I’m also someone they look up to so it’s probably my fault

i don’t want to tell my parents because it’s not too big of a deal but also because i’m embarrassed for showing them gay/BL stuff just because i’m interested in it. my parents also don’t know that i like BL stuff and i don’t plan on telling them.

i’m embarrassed and worried they’re going to come across something inappropriate on accident like character AI or another one of those AI talking apps or an unrestricted website with pornography.

\*\*TL;DR\*\*

I introduced my younger sisters to anime, and now I’m worried they’re being exposed to mature fandom content too early. They won’t listen when I try to stop it, and I’m unsure whether to involve my parents.
