If you're looking for an anime with similar comedy, I'd direct you to "Gamers!", but it's a completely different premise. Spiritually the same show, yet technically different (willful misunderstandings, cheeky tone).
As for the "weak but everyone assumes they are strong gag", it doesn't exist as the main premise as far as I am aware (not one worth talking about that is). Some might argue "Eminence in Shadow", but the premise is technically a strong protagonist, the comedy I personally didn't care for, and the world sucks (typical bland Lit-RPG characters).
Best I can think of is a minor recurring side-gag in "One Punch Man", where "King" is mistaken to be a dangerous god (he's a weak coward and a videogame fan).
I wonder if I'm missing something obvious...

Only one i know that matches to a T is:
“A Herbivorous Dragon of 5,000 Years Gets Unfairly Villainized”
Also this one has it in some degree
Rokudou no Onna-tachi
a bullied high school boy, Rokudo, who gains a supernatural ability to make "bad girls" fall in love with him, leading to a mix of romantic comedy, slice-of-life, and action as he tries to achieve a peaceful life while dealing with delinquent girls. Has the weak guy in a relationship with strongest delinquent in the school dynamic.
In some ways the gag wormed its way through:
Tearmoon Empire
Lastly it is done in a more subtle way in:
Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun
Edit:
Just knoticed “Handa-kun”, based off the first episoide, it seems to be right on target too. just get to minute 12 and it should start rolling. Just started it so thats about all I know so far.

I mean he is like number 4 in lugunica so he is pretty strong

Different but adjacent trope you might like is MC is winging it but everyone assumes they are a scheming mastermind. Overlord and Eminence in Shadow both do this and there's more but I can't remember them rn.
