Hi kiddokell_45A, it seems like you might be looking for new anime to watch!

"The Fable" is a strong contender.
A stoic professional assassin genius is given the task of living a normal life.
Tense thriller storylines and hilarious comedy ensue.
Episode 1 is extremely dull since it focused on presenting the premise and characterizing the hero's skills. I think episode 2 already has comic relief by then.

Attack on Titan Season 1 (feel it out), Cyberpunk Edgerunners (10ep), Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (54ep)
You can't go wrong with any of these 3 for me personally.

Cyberpunk Edgerunners
Akudama Drive
Speed Grapher
Season 1 Psycho-Pass (pretty much it's own contained story - recommend the Director's Cut if possible)

If you want retro anime, Gall Force: Eternal Story (it's spin-offs), Plastic Little, 8 Man After, Cashan: Robot Hunter, Vampire Hunter D, and Venus Wars are movies and OVA series (8 Man and Cashan) but very well done and well animated, from before the Dark Times when everyone wasn't drawn to look shiny like Barbies. Because they're movies or OVA series, none have more than a half-dozen episodes at most.
