Frieren
Clevatess
Secrets of the Silent Witch
Handyman Saitou in Another World
Thunderbolt Fantasy (not anime, fancy Taiwanese puppetry partnered with Japanese anime companies in an anime-ish style, but still very good)
Claymore
Flying Witch (modern day slice of life with witches. comfy and fun)
Slayers
Dungeon Meshi
Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatte Iru Darouka: Familia Myth (for the record, this is a serious recommendation. don't let the english title / first impression fool you. it's actually really good overall. very worth reading the light novels, as the anime itself does get a bit inconsistent in quality at times.)
Dungeon no Naka no Hito (this one is fun)
Spice and Wolf
Escaflowne
For real tho, it gets recommended regularly enough, low key at least. It's decently popular. <thumbs up>
I also love Reincarnated as a Slime and Campfire Cooking in Another World. Both of these are fun. Slime is deeper, and has political aspects. Campfire Cooking is just cooking and a bit of combat. Similar to Dungeon Meshi, which is a better anime, but less fun to me. Campfire Cooking is just surface level fun, Dungeon Meshi deals with deeper stuff, which is great, but sometimes I just want to drink and watch some silly shit lol.
Visions of Escaflowne
Ascendance of a bookworm
Goblin Slayer* (dark fantasy, heart warming despite the first chapter*)
Reborn in another World as a Skeleton (generic fantasy Isekai but the main character just has something about him)
Records of Lodoss War (peak fantasy)
Frieren, and Dungeon Meshi are both great fantasies!
Slayers
Rune Soldier Louie
Ascendence of a Bookworm
Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear (2 seasons)
\--- Isekai (Another World) ---
Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation: Absolute top-tier atmosphere and world-building. It’s widely considered one of the pioneers of the modern genre for a reason.
A Wild Last Boss Appeared!: This one has a very unique premise and setup that you don't see often in Isekai. Definitely worth a watch if you’re tired of the usual tropes.
Handyman Saitou in Another World: A personal favorite of mine! It’s a series of short, interconnected stories that are heartwarming, funny, and surprisingly deep. A true hidden gem.
Farming Life in Another World: If you just want to relax and turn your brain off, this is perfect. It’s a very chill, cozy "slow life" experience.
Konosuba: Pure comedy gold. It’s packed with gags and basically functions as a hilarious parody of the entire Isekai genre.
\--- Fantasy ---
Frieren: Beyond Journey's End: Incredible atmosphere. It’s a beautiful, melancholic, and contemplative take on what happens after the hero's journey ends.
Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout: Based on the game series. It famously went viral for... well, Ryza’s character design (the thighs!), but it’s actually a very solid, lighthearted alchemist fantasy.
Made in Abyss: Don't let the cute art style fool you. It starts charming, but the content gets incredibly dark and brutal. It’s a masterpiece of world-building and emotional trauma.
DanMachi (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?): A consistently popular and reliable staple of the genre. Great action and a surprisingly deep mythology.
Silent Witch: The protagonist is absolutely adorable, but also incredibly skilled. It’s a great mix of "cute girl" vibes and high-stakes magic.
Delicious in Dungeon (Dungeon Meshi): To be honest, I’m not usually a fan of the gourmet/cooking genre, but this show is the exception. It never feels dull, and the way it blends fantasy world-building with "ecology-based" cooking is just brilliant. It’s one of those rare shows I find myself wanting to rewatch every now and then. Highly recommended even if you think you don't like food anime!
\-Arifureta
\-Jobless reincarnation (I'm sure you've seen this already)
\-Re: Zero (also super popular you've prob already seen)
\-Sword art online (there's skepticism on whether or not this is an Isekai but its really good and popular so you might have seen this as well)
Listed some main titles just in case you haven't seen them also all of these are both Isekai and Fantasy
