Any sad anime where the mc is manipulated by love

Basically something where the main character “belongs” to a different character and is completely loyal to them and in love with them.

The other character should use and manipulate them either with love or control. They can kinda love them but it should be twisted

Aki and denji are best examples of this from chainsaw man both to makima and for Aki kinda with himeno as well. Also FLCL fits

Underrated or lesser would be great

The "love" of the show is surely twisted as fuck though. Pure control through emotional manipulation.

You might like Happy Sugar Life if you’re okay with it getting really uncomfortable. The loyalty and “love” is intense and very one sided in a messed up way, and the manipulation is basically the whole point. It’s not subtle but it sticks with you.

This seasons Gnosia definitely has those elements. It's a Werewolf/Mafia/Among Us type of show so love and other emotions are well utilized.

not exactly what you're looking for, but since it's hard to find titles where the lead is manipulated/dominated by the love interest, try checking out my list. [Dominant women, assertive girls, role reversal and femdom with a chance of ecchi.](https://myanimelist.net/stacks/59974) You'll find some few serious titles in between the fanservice ones.
