Shion had been lounging and waiting for the demon attack this whole time, ready to show off the armor HE made and look EXCELLENT while slaying demons. It also infuriated him that Ryusei beat him to it. Him! Someone who doesn't even have "Grace" on his neck like Shion does.

If everybody wants to fight Saizou, he'll just duplicate himself to fight everybody. Oh, and did we mention Kamonosuke is still alive? Good thing Gai has gained Nezu's paralysis powers...I think?

They managed to win a fight without any civilian casualties! Even Gai seems somewhat moved by being seen as a Hero instead of a Demon, especially when he's helping his comrades out more. Even if he still pretends otherwise. Meanwhile Yamato may or may not have peed himself. What a hero!

What happened to the OG Samurai Troopers? When the seal to the Demon realm original broke, they went in to try to fix things...and never came back. So the originals are all still in the Demon Realm somewhere. And Ryusei and Shion's old squad went in to try and find them, only to be overpowered by the demons, leading to their friends' death, Ryusei getting demonically poisoned, and Shion blaming Ryusei for the loss of their team. I too will mourn the loss of their female teammate.

Sasuke (Takuya Sato!) doesn't care for how Saizou has been acting, and what Emperor Ramaga is really planning, though it was nice of Ramaga to clue in his men on what the actual plan is.

I love how Gai has to take lessons to teach him that murder is wrong. Though it seems like he and Kaito are coming together as a bickering buds duo, and the entire team can come together in their shared desire to stop the 10 Warriors and save Ryu.

Musashi doesn't want to die a virgin against a giant teddy bear! Especially if he's the only member of this team who hasn't gotten laid.

So Shion has the Sword of Destruction and was willing to play ball with Yagyu and her Sacred Treasure...even if he had to be an egomaniac mad scientist convinced only he can save the world in the process. But even despite that, and his distaste for Ryu, Ryusei still treats him like a comrade.

It's nice to see the team has grown close enough to call out each others' quirks. And that means it's time to learn their secret arts finishing moves! And to team-up to keep Ryusei out of the fight for his own sake.

The team has come together just in time to bail Shion and the Sword of Destruction out when he's clearly overwhelmed...and letting Kaito show off his transformation, Gai his new attack, and to educate Shion on how Ryusei has been struggling ever since he saved him. If nothing else, deep down Shion cares about Ryusei even though he annoyed him to no end...and he'll battle for Ryusei out of spite if he has to.

I love how Mirei's VR avatar has her as a gyaru.

Of course just when the team is doing well...the Big Bad Ramaga shows up to face them and his son!

So can anyone who doesn't have the mark on their neck wield the armors? I thought they were special magic armors or something that only the chosen troopers could wear?

Now they're all singing in combat? It just keeps getting better.

Very good VR avatar for our twintails engineer. Normally a violent tsundere would be a bit passe these days but I think Yamato needs those punches to keep him in line. It might also help that Mirei seems like she's probably a bit older than the usual violent tsuns given how long she's been with the organization.

I figured Ryusei was just dying from too much armor use but that poison changes things since there's potentially a way to clear it. Wolf guy starting the fight at the end with a few thrown daggers probably tells us he was the poisoner so the solution may be closely at hand.

With the way she was calling to Ryusei when she found him tied up in the VR training area I'm a bit suspicious that Mirei is in love with him.

If everyone else is confused about the poison? Does that mean Ramaga was the one who poisoned Ryusei? Also not liking the disappearance plot of the original samurai warriors. This has Ramaga all over it. Let us not forget what he did in the prequel.

Que tristeza foi este episódio e sem sentido para quem prestou muita atenção.

`<spoiler>`Cara, a Nasty (Conhecida como Mia, no Brasil), SACRIFICOU OS ANTIGOS GUERREIROS LENDÁRIOS... Todos os principais, estão mortos. Depois deles entrarem no portão, foram derrotados (Não sei como isso poderia ocorrer, se os 5 eram muito fortes e que conseguiam invocar a última armadura).

A Mia (Nasty), mandou o novo Guerreiro da Luz, junto com aquele cara pra saber o que aconteceu e ao invés de resgatarem, ao meu ver, pegaram as Armaduras e deixaram eles pra morrerem lá.

Cara, é muito sem sentido porque a Mia, sempre ajudou os 5, seguindo a missão do avô dela, para agora, abandonar os guerreiros que ela sempre ajudou.

Essa justificativa, não bate nenhum pouco com a Mia/Nasty da primeira versão. A antiga, jamais faria isso, inclusive a da versão do mangá, que ela sofria de um TUDO, quando a Dinastia a sequestrava e lá estavam 1 ou os 5 guerreiros pra salvá-la.

1. A Mia de 1998: Mulher Grata, companheira, orientadora sendo quase a mãe dos 5.
2. A Mia de 2026: Mulher Fria, comportando-se como um Líder da Nerv (Neo Gênesis...), que sacrifica o que for pelo próprio interesse. E essa mia até agora, não conseguiu mandar em ninguém, mesmo sendo "A LÍDER DA ORGANIZAÇÃO", porque ninguém a obedece.

Eu consigo ver que, fizeram isso para colocar esses novos guerreiros (essa cantoria toda hora já tá ficando chata... -\_\_\_\_-...), no lugar dos anteriores, já que os que gostamos muito, jamais aparecerão.

E Envenenamento, vimos isso de uma maneira parecida com Saint Seiya Ômega, que o corpo era contaminado pelo poder de(do) Apsu, que usou do Marte, para isso acontecer com o Seiya e a Athena. Acho que os contaminados, se queimassem o Cosmos, se contaminam mais e mais, até escurecerem e serem presos no planeta do(da) Apsu.

Agora, dar para entender do porque a Nasty, fez uma publicidade grande com os antigos Guerreiros, porque eles morreram mesmo, mas, muito da culpa disso ocorrer, foi dela.

Esse episódio, me deixou chateado, já que eu sou um fã da série animada, exibida em 1998 no Brasil, pela Rede de Tv manchete.

I'd say this episode confirms that the series is a sequel of the original TV series only (thank goodness), though as an OG series viewer there's a lot of questions I'd like to be answered (though I think it'll be unlikely they will be in full).


Finally special attacks. Gai's not bad, I'd say.


Ramaga appears, I have a feeling things won't go very well...

I am loving this show more and more every episode. Showing that the OG troopers disappeared into the Demon Realm is awesome. I hope they will turn up again. What are the chances that Demon Emperor Ramaga is one of the original troopers corrupted? Maybe Shuten or one of the Warlords? Lots of possibilities.

I was so surprised when Musashi said along the lines that he can't die because he hadn't slept with a girl yet, he even got censored so he was speaking crudely. He's not as innocent as he appears to be lol. I did find it funny that no-one responded when he asked if they were virgins like him, I'm most surprised about Gai since we haven't seen any female demons.

I was in the mindset of Ryuusei possibly dying or retiring and being replaced by Shion, but from this episode it seems like he could be healed and gain his power back. It'd be cool to see him be able to go all out. We might even see a 6 man Samurai Trooper.

Shion's got to feel extra guilty for being so hostile towards him without noticing the truth, but it's understandable he'd overlook when his emotions were running high from the shock of his teammates being abandoned.

There’s hope Ryuusei can avoid the deathflag?!! I thought he was dying from not being able handle being a trooper from being too old, but with poison, there’s a solution! More motivation to defeat enemies. Cool to see Ryuusei and Shion’s former teams (RIP). There’s even a girl? OGs are also missing in the demon world, so there’s a likely chance we can see them again. I thought they retired and stayed out of the limelight. I can see director Fujita sneaking in some comedy throughout the episode. Musashi not wanting to die a virgin lol.

So Gai isn't a cherryboi, but didn't he live all this time in the Youja world? 🤔🧐

Just going to throw out there that I feel like it's a mild mythology gag that Shion 3 years prior to the story appears to be wielding the Strata/Air (Dark Blue) armor but in the lineup with the main cast is in the Halo/Light armor.

In the dub of Ronin Warriors, they switched Rowen/Touma's virtue (Wisdom) with Sage/Seiji's (Grace/Courtesy) but then rendered Rowen's virtue as "Life," while Sage in the dub had "Wisdom." As in, the dub switched around the virtues between the Dark Blue and Green armors.

Shion seems to be marked for "Grace" yet in the flashback he's wearing the armor associated with Wisdom/Intellect (at least by process of elimination, since the color's kind of washed out but the three that are down are clearly Earth/Water/Fire). I thought that was neat.

Given the flashback for 5 years prior shows the original group in their armor from the show, I am assuming that the OVAs where their armor is destroyed and they get a new (uglier) set are being ignored.

It's possible Ramaga is not truly evil. Given how his armor resembles Arago/Talpa's original armor... He could be one of the three remaining Warlords from the original series, keeping Arago bound. Saizou is under secret orders. We don't hear what Ramaga tells the rest off screen. So we don't know if he's lying to them. It's possible Ramaga is building Gai's strength so Ramaga can unbind Arago and have him be destroyed.

The transformation sequence feels too short. On the one hand it's good that they no longer need a 2-3 minute long sequence to fill the episodes. However it just feels wrong and off somehow. The old one was perfect for building anticipation and the accompanying music was epic. Bring back the full sequence sequence please along with multiple pose shots.

Lots of story moving forward in this episode but my favorite takeaway is this bunch taking on a giant malevolent teddy bear.

OK, now I really don't trust Nasté. Not only is she lying, but now it just seems like her plan is to throw boys at the issue until she gets a team that works
