I Am On A (new) Quest

My journey will be a long, possibly unending one. I strive to watch EVERY anime on the crunchyroll catalogue, and rank them (on a tier list with a starting amount of 27 tiers, one for each letter in the order of which ones in the order of my favorite letters, then “peak” I’ll likely add many more tiers as I go on) Recommend me any anime, any at all, so long as it’s on the crunchyroll catalogue, if it isn’t, then do not recommend it, sorry. I’d like at least one peak recommendation, like your favorite(s), maybe one good, one mid, and one really, really bad. (You can give as many recommendations as you want) and if you feel like it, give a short, spoiler free sentence or two on what it’s about.

Hi femmyfroggo, it seems like you might be looking for new anime to watch!

The users of this subreddit came up with [a chart of anime recommendations for newcomers and veterans](https://i.redd.it/0w1v880jtq661.png) and [an awesome longer flowchart](https://i.redd.it/vdzlkodz19c71.png). Maybe you can find something there that you'll like \^.\^

so you’re suggesting you’re jobless?

femmyfroggo2026-01-27 17:34

Yes

Jusenkyo_52026-01-27 17:32

I don't think that this is mathematically possible considering how many new anime come out every season.

femmyfroggo2026-01-27 17:34

Shhhh let me try. At its current standing, it’ll take almost 20 years of 14 hour daily watching (I think)

FetchFrosh2026-01-27 17:51

It definitely would be. We're looking at ~80 new episodes of anime per week broadly (not just Crunchyroll). So roughly 33 hours a week of new anime. Now exactly how long it would take is a lot harder to gauge, but I'm pretty sure we're still in the realm of time where watching the entire history of the medium is hypothetically possible.

Jusenkyo_52026-01-27 17:56

I guess if you were a billionaire you may be able to make it work 😂

Durinthal2026-01-27 17:58

Availability aside, it's also easier if you focus on one genre.

If your goal is to watch every anime CR has, why ask for recs for "any at all" and just start with the A's on CR's list and start watching.

femmyfroggo2026-01-27 17:35

I want peak mixed in with the horrible

Durinthal2026-01-27 17:39

You think going alphabetically won't have a good distribution like that, as if every anime title that starts with B will be bad?

femmyfroggo2026-01-27 17:41

OHHH I thought you meant in order of like, A ranking. Thanks, that’s a good idea

FetchFrosh2026-01-27 17:51

If they weren't going to be Bad why would they start with B?

Durinthal2026-01-27 17:54

I did think of that but you could make a similar joke for other letters and synonyms so decided to run right into it.

porpoiseoflife2026-01-27 18:41

Technically, the CR catalogue starts with the numbers. So OP would have things like 07 Ghost, 11eyes, and 2.43 before they even get to the A section.

Durinthal2026-01-27 17:45

Good luck with that. In no particular order:

* [Urusei Yatsura](https://www.crunchyroll.com/series/GMEHME7JJ/urusei-yatsura)

* [Delicious Party Precure](https://www.crunchyroll.com/series/GG5H5XE73/delicious-party-precure)

* [Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu](https://www.crunchyroll.com/series/GY190579R/showa-genroku-rakugo-shinju)

* [Sky Wizards Academy](https://www.crunchyroll.com/series/GR4980206/sky-wizards-academy)

FetchFrosh2026-01-27 17:52

> Delicious Party Precure

Is this the *really really bad*?

Durinthal2026-01-27 17:53

It's the low end of Precure shows for me but not *that* low.

RedHotChiliCrab2026-01-27 17:47

I admire your dedication but pity your eyes

femmyfroggo2026-01-27 17:50

It’s okay, I don’t sleep much anyways

Aware-Froyo31242026-01-27 17:53

Blue Period, one of the best slice of life animes I've ever watched, 100% recommend

Swimming-Rope-95822026-01-27 17:56

I suggest only watching episode 1s for impressions.

BuddyRedSkull2026-01-27 18:34

Yeah I've been doing something kinda similar but i made a list of Anime from the 70s to 2020s and i usually use the 1-3 episode rule to decide if i want to watch the rest of a show.

Alt22212026-01-27 18:30

once you watch your 100th trash tier show youll realize this was a really foolish endeavor

there just isnt enough good stuff to make this worth your time in any meaningful way

porpoiseoflife2026-01-27 18:53

Why yuck someone's yum?

porpoiseoflife2026-01-27 18:51

Just from a glance:

* Favorite: Cowboy Bebop
* Good: Ergo Proxy
* Mid: Occultic;Nine
* Really, really, REALLY bad: Rusted Armors

giitaru-kun2026-01-28 04:09

Would that include One Piece's 1155 episodes, and any other long anime, like Gintama, Dragon Ball Z, Naruto?

Currently making the journey with One Piece, I now get it, but it sure is a long journey. Currently at 433/1155 at the moment.
