Seeing the Golden Kamuy clips from S1, it's awesome to see how far the anime has improved since then.

I've had this one on my to-watch list for a while. I guess I need to move it to the front of the line.

Have you been following "Dogsred" for your recurring fix of Ezo deer Droppings?
I only recently discovered both of these recently (I had Kamuy on indefinite hold, am now binging and at season 3, I caught up to the unofficial Dogsred translation).

funny that you mention dogsred, i actually read it when i went to japan! loved all the character cameos, plus its really funny lmao

The coach makes me asphyxiate with laughter.
But I also love Rou's T-Shirt gag.
And all his "rule of cool" skating moves.
If I had to choose, it would have to be the coach.
EDIT: Btw, I also **correctly guessed Rou's VA casting** (I read Dogsred before watching the Golden Kamuy anime).

Still can’t get into this anime yet. I bought all the seasons and am halfway through season 1. Does it get better?
timetofliphawaii2026-01-28 05:11
Yes it does! I read the series so I can say that it gets better with every chapter
Mkilbride2026-01-28 06:35
What? The beginning is the best part. It gets worse if anything. I felt so burnt out by the end of the manga.

I only have about 20 9s on MAL out of my ~350 shows, and 3 seasons of GK are among them
Whendfield1232026-01-28 11:31
It gets much better. S1 is basically just setting up the story and introducing most of the main/side characters. The real story start in season 2. The show is so much better in season 2, 3 and 4.
