Tropes that shouldn't exist in anime

I have been watching anime for over a year now, and there are so many terrible tropes that are the reason I can't watch some of them. By far the worst one for me is little sister shit, or romance between siblings , that is honestly sick. What's your's worst or most annoying tropes?

I feel like romance between siblings is something that only happens mainly in some visual novels. Anime and manga I feel really don't actually go out with the incest where it feels more common to incest bait if anything, and it's quite scarce when it happens in manga/anime.

Aside from that: You know that a story can feature "wrong" elements.
Like in many stories, people also kill each other, even though killing people is wrong.

Yeah, I get what you're saying. It's just that in those stories, it's widely acknowledged that killing is wrong, while somehow in anime incest becomes acceptable

From my pov: I think it's fine to write fiction that is weird and off-putting and strange. I like when fiction is not realistic, that being said: I don't watch romance, so this is not a topic I ever run into

Except most anime/manga follow the incest baiting route without going full out incest, or you have shit like a sibling has an unrequited crush or is too clingy with their sibling, but it never amounts to being recipirocated so I'm getting mixed messages here of anime making incest being acceptable. Regardless not everything needs to portray taboo things in a certain way, because it's fiction, not reality.

Given the number of fantasy isekai out there I'd be willing to bet that proportionally (and outside of hentai), there are more anime where slavery happens and is considered acceptable in-universe compared to anime where incest happens and is considered acceptable in-universe.

There aren't that many of the latter, and I mean things beyond "sister is part of the harem and has a crush on her brother" where it's a central feature like Koi Kaze and Yosuga no Sora. In both of those the characters are heavily stigmatized for it as well.

I don’t know if it’s a trope, but 99% of high school anime could be set in college which future-proofs (college waifus/fan service) it for adult fans and is equally understandable for teens and kids.

Can I just say I don't care about the harem genre, I feel like it can often lead to romance ties and chemistry feeling more stretched thin, and I feel the romance rivalry and dramatic tension can be better conveyed with something as small as a love triangle, because the concentration is relegated to a smaller amount of characters.
