These are some of my favorites in recent years...
Akiba Maid War - action-comedy where Maid cafes operate as gangs and have turf wars, very underrated and easily binge-able
[akiba maid war trailer](https://share.google/yNau5KNQoDgT5aKB4)
SummerTime Rendering -- a guy that starts to realize his island is inhabited by doppelgangers called shadows. Very interesting mystery
[SummerTime Rendering trailor](https://youtu.be/8Eg-BaDX85s?si=1CyS7oSZrip6Vb1o)
My Home Hero - a father has to defend his family from some pretty horrible guys. He is just an average guy put in some horrible situations. Very tense and suspenseful, with zero filler and great VAs

Kowloon Generic Romance - set in the claustrophobic city of Kowloon, this is a story of mystery, romance and sci fi.

In each of these series, I feel the less you know going into it, the better the viewing experience will be...

Hey I’m recommending the following:
GeGeGe no Kitaro from 2018-2020. This is my current most favorite anime series. It is so fun and so good. If you’re a fan of The X-Files and Kolchak:The Night Stalker series, you will love this one. If you want to find out a bit more about the main character Kitaro, watch the Prequel film that came out in 2024 first maybe? Gives a bit of background to his origins and it’s a straight up horror anime film unlike the series which is more comedic horror with a paranormal investigations vibe.
Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube from last year is fantastic. It’s a remake anime series and it is so good. It’s currently about to enter its second season. You can find it on YouTube. The main character Nube is just such a super nice guy, you really feel for his mission to protect children.
For serious niche, I’d check out Mignon from 2023. It’s short, just 11 episodes but the animation is really great and without spoiling, it’s definitely niche and not for everyone. A very dark love story. Highly recommend this one.

Naruto, Death Note, Kakegurui, Danganronpa, and Kill la Kill.
