The only similar anime I know of is Jormungand about Weapon dealer they do some similar crazy stuff like in black lagoon and there are a few bad ass ladies in that show too.

There was another post earlier this month talking about how even the Creator has started the English dub is more accurate to the story and a better experience than the Japanese dub, not that the Japanese version is bad.
Among other reasons, the most significant reason is that in the story they are all speaking English anyways, except for isolated encounters with other significant characters, and always to hide the contents of their conversation behind a language barrier.

Speed blitzing is mainly used as an animation/drawing technique rather than a stylistic choice it's just much easier to animate.
Similar how in manga and such you'll notice glove hands where 2+ fingers are next to each other

Yeah. I will try a dub first as long as the setting isn't in Japan and all of the characters aren't Japanese. Did this for *Violet Evergarden* and the new *Spice and Wolf*, too. Great dubs.
Dubs absolutely don't work when the show has a bunch of cute Japanese schoolgirls, and the dubbers struggle to pronounce their names properly. *Tomo-chan is a Girl* was the one exception: because Sally Amaki is bilingual and did [both the Japanese and English voice](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f6jDOZdjSuI) for Carol, I went with the dub for that.

Without going too far into detail, let's say those who live by the sword die by it. Black Lagoon also deals in tragedy, but in a far more over-the-top way, so sometimes that makes it more palatable.

Black Lagoon was fun. But I was disappointed that it became modular serialized with disconnected arcs, and never had a proper overarching story and conclusion. Roberta's Blood Trail was the last anime entry and that was it.

El Baile de la Muerte was all that existed. The manga went on hiatus for several years midway through the next arc and still only comes out on a (non) schedule only a HxH fan could envy. So there's still only two more arcs and spare change in existence over 4 going on 5 volumes.

I was so bummed out trying to show this anime off to two people I was friends at the time. They legit hated the end of the second episode when they took out the helicoptor. These were people who liked plenty of dumb action films, were anime enjoyers, and yet they really took against it.
In retrospect I wish I'd recognised it as the red flag that it was.
