Tbh sub is >>> but I agree. The English voice was better and matches his personality well. Also, probably a pivotal moment for buus development

Why d you put this shit on reddit now I'm crying over an anime
Time_Ad_69052026-01-28 16:50
I'm at work and teary eyed. Did not expect that and am recovering in my car currently lol
broomsticx2026-01-28 15:10
Bro healed the kid only to jump scare him 😂
"You not scared of Buu?"
kekehippo2026-01-28 16:21
Mission failed successfully
dweezil372026-01-28 16:28
That shit made me laugh so hard. It's the old fat Kai in there providing the good nature.
broomsticx2026-01-28 16:48
Yeah. Once fat Kai was out, bro became a menace for the ages!
dweezil372026-01-28 16:50
I will say, having grown up on the dubs, hearing Majin Buu's voice I now you can feel that character in it even though he had no lines in the flashback (that I remember)
Made_Bail2026-01-28 17:47
So, I've never seen DBZ, but I know there's a lot of punching and fighting.
This clip starts with dude ready to punch the kid, his clenched fist in the foreground.
I fully expected him to heal the kid, and THEN punch him when he could see lmao
Musiclover42002026-01-28 18:55
I legit thought he was going to heal the kind only to turn him into candy and eat him as that's what this version of Buu does (he has an ability Candy Beam that literally turns people into a bar of chocolate)
pipboy_warrior2026-01-28 15:15
Just realized, they could be using the Dragon Balls regularly to do stuff like this. Like "Shenron, heal all the blind people" or "Shenron, heal all the sick".
Optido_Chess2026-01-28 15:18
I like to believe they are doing that offscreen
pipboy_warrior2026-01-28 15:23
Eh, Super confirmed that Bulma has been using the balls for minor cosmetic surgery. Which is funny, so long as you don't think too much about it...
Abedeus2026-01-28 15:27
Maybe they eliminated blindness already by technology. Or Shenron permanently eliminated that.
pipboy_warrior2026-01-28 15:32
The video shows Maijin Buu healing a blind kid, so blindness continues to exist. Also in Dragon Ball they made it clear that there are many poorer countries like the one Nam came from.
But again, I probably shouldn't think too much on this.
Beefmytaco2026-01-28 15:39
Don't forget the one Uub came from too, they were poor.
ZirePhiinix2026-01-28 16:37
Uub joined the tournament because his village was going to starve.
Saymynaian2026-01-28 17:14
You think Goku will let him feed his village between bouts of intense training and gluttonous feasts to recover strength?
Vandrel2026-01-28 18:16
At the end of DBZ Goku tells Uub that he'll have Mr. Satan give Uub whatever money he needs so he doesn't have to worry about winning the tournament.
elperuvian2026-01-28 18:42
Mr Satan always saving earth
pylon5672026-01-28 16:07
I would like to think it's a routine surgery to fix eyesight. Outside of this kid, this is the only blind character that I remember?
I'll fill my headcannon a cure exists for everything (minus the Heart Virus).
ph3195k92026-01-28 16:19
I mean there was a cure for the heart virus eventually it just wasn’t in time for future Goku. And I may be misremembering but wasn’t it an extremely rare disease anyway? The fact it got developed at all should honestly bolster your head cannon
pylon5672026-01-28 16:41
Yep! It was rare and cured in the Future Trunks timeline *after* Future Goku had already passed.
I had always thought he contracted it in his space travels either during or after the Frieza Saga.
Specific_Frame85372026-01-28 15:56
Capsule Corp is probably on top of all of that stuff, there's no way you fix trans-dimensional storage before eliminating blindness.
Ok_Communication82612026-01-28 16:04
It's Bulma she was never big on morals plus rich people in real life would gate keep something like that
mythriz2026-01-28 16:08
"use dragon balls to heal all blind people, or sell our technology that can be used to repair eyesight, decisions decisions"
solidpeyo2026-01-28 16:09
Yeah, Bulma has always been very selfish. In OG Dragon Ball the reason she was looking for them in the first place was because she wanted to wish for a boyfriend, which she couldn't wished due to what happened in the Pilaf ark and that he meets Yamcha and they ended up together.
Camera_dude2026-01-28 16:45
Problem is that Shenron can't make a wish that exists in perpetuity. It's a one-shot thing, so he could make every blind person on the planet see again, but if someone is blind AFTER that wish then they stay blind.
Hence why immortality is also not possible with Shenron (despite Freeza's attempt at it).
RomanSeraphim2026-01-28 15:35
Billionaires only doing shit for themselves until a planet wide catastrophe forces their cooperation with the rest of mankind for survival. I thought about it too long.
pipboy_warrior2026-01-28 15:43
Man, when Nam was fighting a whole tournament just to get water for his village, you'd think that Capsule Corp could've easily made sure that water was getting to every place in the world if they wanted.
BeckQuillion892026-01-28 15:53
especially since she's literally a rich genius. she can create devices that can fly or change gravity, but she can't just find a qualified plastic surgeon
Beefmytaco2026-01-28 15:39
Don't forget to age herself down by a few years here and there too!
That and giving herself a 20YO butt again, lmao!
Local_Pickle_47172026-01-28 15:45
It's funnier that way, but I'm not sure why she was doing it body part by body part.
Beefmytaco2026-01-28 15:49
It's Bulma. What she does is beyond anyone's reasoning and logic!
Mammoth-Day-41582026-01-28 16:10
I love that a major source of conflict in the Broly movie is Bulma and Frieza searching for the Dragon Balls for the most vain reasons possible. It's so absurd I couldn't even be mad because of how dumb it is lololol.
solidpeyo2026-01-28 15:27
Nah, super confirms that offscreen Bulma just gets the Dragon Balls to have her looking young
https://youtu.be/OXJ-CxQbjX8?si=xC11IuwXMB6iANWJ
Optido_Chess2026-01-28 15:29
Ohhh I did see that but forgot about that
Murasasme2026-01-28 15:33
I honestly hated that the second they said it, and it made me wish what happens in GT with the dragon balls was canon
solidpeyo2026-01-28 15:35
That could still happen. They can bring back those stories from GT into super. I can 100% see the black dragon ball plot be an ark in super
Beefmytaco2026-01-28 15:40
Bulma was always vain. She's a good person but always had a vanity issue really. Just in Dragon ball and early Z she was still in her 20s.
sandmanwake2026-01-28 15:57
Is that the one where the dragon balls eventually make evil dragons?
Murasasme2026-01-28 16:01
Yeah, in the GT lore the dragon balls are meant to be used like every 100 years or so, be cause every time they are used, they accumulate evil energy that needs time to dissipate, but since the characters spam the dragon balls for wishes ever couple of years, they accumulate malice and each ball creates an evil dragon, which I feel is fair if your are using a near omnipotent power, to remove your wrinkles
kaushik04082026-01-28 16:14
I really liked that aspect of GT. It made using the dragonballs have some real consequences. People might hate on GT but this was one thing they did well.
solidpeyo2026-01-28 16:16
GT did a lot of things great besides that, SSJ4 transformation and the end of GT are peak anime moments IMO
solidpeyo2026-01-28 16:04
Yes, at the beginning of GT, Pilaf gang wished for Goku to be a kid again as revenge for what happened at the beginning of Dragon Ball. After that, the Dragon Balls turn black and spread across the universe. That is when Bulma upgrades the Dragon Radar to search for the Dragon Ball across the universe and Goku Trunks and Pan (who IIRC hides in their ship) travel to find them. When they got them all back and tried to use the they spread across the planet again and each Dragon Ball turned into a dragon that Goku have to defeat to recover the dragon ball now purified. That is the main plot of GT.
YnotThrowAway72026-01-28 16:52
Honestly that was the best part about GT. Focusing on the actual Dragonballs and Dragons. Especially the consequences of specific corrupt wishes. Had they not made Goku a child and started with all the silliness (and repeated that bs in Daima) it would have been an amazing series.
sonic2602026-01-28 15:58
And then Frieza in Broly's movie wanted to use them to make himself slightly taller
Abedeus2026-01-28 15:29
"Shrenron, heal all the sick!"
"That will destroy the global economy and put doctors out of business."
AdmiralThunderpants2026-01-28 15:32

"WTF DUDE?!?"
TMK1k2026-01-28 15:36

Rickymex2026-01-28 15:47
Look at Tony Stark over here
Abedeus2026-01-28 16:50
That's literally the plot of Superior Iron Man plot. He released Extremis 3.0 virus into the public with a tie-in app, and required people to pay him $100 a day to keep using it for upgrades and upkeep, or they'd suffer withdrawal effects.
SauronSauroff2026-01-28 15:32
They made more important wishes. Like didn't Oolong wish for panties?
unHolyKnightofBihar2026-01-28 15:52
Whose?
_BMS2026-01-28 16:03
Just some random girl. Not even a specific random girl, he literally just says "a girl's panties" in Japanese.
Follower23032026-01-28 16:20
in german he wish for a hat with holes for his ears
german censoring at its peak >.<
ChuckCarmichael2026-01-28 18:18
According to dubs in several languages, he actually wished for [a hat with two holes for his ears.](https://i.postimg.cc/W1KC2qMQ/Screenshot-2026-01-28-181700.png)
ripnotorious2026-01-28 15:35
>Shenron, heal all the sick".
He can’t actually do this Goku originally died due to a heart virus but couldn’t be brought back because it was a natural cause of death.
frisch852026-01-28 16:18
AFAIK that's not the actual reason, Goku already died before and was brought back by Shenron but Shenron can only revive someone once. This is why they used the namekian dragon during the Frieza Saga to revive Goku where they first brought Goku back to life and then wish to have him sent to Namek.
ripnotorious2026-01-28 16:28
>AFAIK that's not the actual reason,
Kami’s (the creators) [own words](https://imgur.com/N7i5BC5)
1.Base Shenron can’t revive someone more than once but Porunga can do it infinitely that’s why during the conclusion of the Cell saga they were willing to revive Goku but he stays dead cause he attracts trouble(RR army the reason for the arc starting)
SilkyZ2026-01-28 15:55
Which makes it funnier about some the wishes that were made:
- Most comfortable pair of panties
- Grow 5 inches
- Smoother skin
Loud_Perspective90462026-01-28 17:37
bigger butt
Kindly-Tax-49982026-01-28 17:43
She also used them to make herself look younger.
TheRealZue32026-01-28 18:00
Could've just made herself younger or stay young forever smh.
Mr_Industrial2026-01-28 18:56
She could also wish for unlimited power, infinite wealth, or anything like that. I believe the point however is to waste the wishes on frivolous things to prevent evil people from enacting *their* dreams. If Bulma wished for any of those sorts of things, one could rightly argue that she's just as greedy as the rest of them.
That might not matter to most people, but those morals matter to Bulma, at least.
KakeruGF2026-01-28 19:13
Which is funny because the absolute evil being himself "Freiza" also only wants to wish for a couple of cm of extra height. Yet they do everything in their power to stop him
Flamefury2026-01-28 19:48
THEY don't know that though, and Freeza isn't going to tell them the reason (probably). They just know that Freeza's a bad guy so they assume his wish is going to have negative consequences, even if they don't have a strong guess as to what it is (now that they nixed immortality).
expunks2026-01-28 20:06
Is that like a DB Super thing? Because at least in the OG DBZ, it's pretty blatant that he's wishing for immortality.
BeardedInferno2026-01-28 20:19
He's given up on immortality after spending time in hell lmao
MagicHamsta2026-01-28 21:39
Wouldn't that motivate him to seek immortality even more? To avoid going back to hell?
xLucifurious2026-01-28 19:41
I mean in Bulma's case she already is filthy rich, married to a Saiyan Prince, is best friends with the Savior of Universes, has good relations with the God of Destruction and his Angel buddy. She doesn't need those at all. She also doesn't wanna live forever just be young enough to match her husband's slower aging and it would look too unnatural if she de-aged too much ( as per her I recall her saying that to Piccolo).
Polyglot-Onigiri2026-01-29 02:02
Honestly, at this point she should just wish to age at the same rate as saiyans.
YoungestOldGuy2026-01-28 19:51
The power of the Dragon Balls is limited by whoever created that set of dragon balls. So they can't wish for everything.
MisterTruth2026-01-28 17:45
I think that was because Bulma was specifically making wishes that wouldn't actually matter to the world specifically to keep the dragon balls from being active and used by villains.
SingleInfinity2026-01-28 17:55
Sure but... why not use them for things that matter if nobody knows how it works? "News today, every blind person can suddenly see. It is a miracle with no explanation. More at 11".
BardicLasher2026-01-28 17:49
The panties wish was genuinely a good one, though. It was an intentional waste of a wish to stop the villain.
Old_Note_57302026-01-28 17:54
Couldn't have wasted the wish healing all of the sick people on Earth?
Elgato012026-01-28 18:02
And risk shenron telling you “that is beyond my power”?
Old_Note_57302026-01-28 18:05
If bro can raise people from the dead I feel like he can remove their tumors as well.
Elgato012026-01-28 18:06
You’d think but the rules for what shenron can and can’t do are flimsy at best
Taurenkey2026-01-28 19:07
But can he melt the ice to my evil lair? No, I don't want the power to do it, I want *him* to do it.
RyuNoKami2026-01-28 19:28
SHENRON, Clean my car!
dandroid1262026-01-28 19:29
But Shenron can't revive people who die due to illness. He can only revive people who were killed by some sort of physical trauma. That's why Trunks had to go back in time to save Goku by bringing him medicine.
BardicLasher2026-01-28 18:26
No. He didn't have time to think. He literally wished for the first thing in his head because if he'd waited even a moment the villains would have won.
OhScheisse2026-01-28 18:29
Don't forget that the whole journey to find the Dragon Balls began because Bulma wanted to wish for a boyfriend.
elperuvian2026-01-28 18:41
And she got an alien bf, somehow things worked
Algidus2026-01-28 18:30
That is why I think the GT idea of Shenglong getting corrupted due to the accumulative vain wishes over the years was cool
Skawt242026-01-28 19:18
Shenron wasn't getting corrupted by vain wishes, wishes spend positive energy to be made real but that creates negative energy that slowly accumulates inside the balls, normally the negative energy would dissipate over time but because the dragon radar exists the dragon balls ended up being used way more often then intended in fact the more benevolent or selfless the wish made was the more cruel and evil the shadow dragon created from that wish ended up being.
ArcticVulpe2026-01-28 20:06
Negative energy is stored in the balls?
GrokMonkey2026-01-28 20:44
Gotta remember to always purge the darkness before it backs up too much.
Chlodio2026-01-28 16:12
They could. Or they can use the wishesh to give multi-billionaire Bulma an ass-lift.
Atwenfor2026-01-28 16:14
There's a trope for it on TV Tropes, "Reed Richards is Useless," referring to how advanced superhero/alien tech or magic can't be used to heal society's ills in a fantasy setting because it may break the setting, so the writers just sort of ignore the whole conundrum.
koopcl2026-01-28 16:20
"Shenron, make all the sick people blind and all the blind people sick"
OperativePiGuy2026-01-28 16:30
i always felt Bulma and her company monopolizing the Dragonballs was extremely unethical for exactly those reasons lol
Terrible_Elephant_162026-01-28 19:42

FabrizioRomanoo2026-01-28 15:16
Japanese Buu is vastly superior compared to the English dub
DirtyTacoKid2026-01-28 15:31
I think both voices work really well here
A lot of people hate the sub, but the original VAs all do a great job. Some for almost 50 years.
_BMS2026-01-28 16:09
This is the first time I'm learning people hate the sub.
I like both, Dragon Ball is actually one of only a handful of series that I enjoy the dub of. The only other one being OG YuGiOh.
Though I view the sub and dub versions of each series as basically separate shows because of the differences between them in soundtracks and changed lines.
DylKyll2026-01-28 15:36
I hadn’t ever heard the Japanese buu before but I thought it was funny that goku and buu switched pitches between dub and sub. Dub goku to deep and Japanese goku is high pitched. But with buu it’s the opposite. English buu is high pitched and Japanese buu is deep.
garfe2026-01-28 15:53
I think this has to do with how Buu in JP has Kouzo Shioya voice all of his forms while the Funimation dub had I believe 3 different ones.
DylKyll2026-01-28 16:03
Interesting, I think that decision was the correct one. It made it easier to realize Buu was changing between the different forms he went through. But I was also a kid when these came out and I haven’t watched them as adults so my memory might just be biased toward nostalgia
RazerHey2026-01-28 15:16

Fat Buu's arc is actually rely good and emotional. One of the rare times DBZ is about more than punching the other guy harder
joelstaz2026-01-28 15:39
Fat Buu had his charm, the other versions terrifying and straight up evil lmao. Dontcha just wanna give him a big ol hug. Dude can even spawn candy
Sacrilege72026-01-28 16:57
Kid Buu literally nuking the Earth just because he felt like it at the moment was such a wild moment for me. No teasing or anything, man just charged up and nuked it with no warning given.
Art_student_rt2026-01-28 17:54
Chaotic with no moral, like a child. Kid Buu
krilltazz2026-01-28 18:27
Didn't Fat Buu also have the personality or soul of the good guy he ate who was also fat. That's why he's not full evil.
elfmere2026-01-28 20:58
Yeah the guardian or something sacrificed himself and became part of his personality. His other forms were from removing it
Waifu_Raichu2026-01-28 21:19
It was one of the Kais
counters142026-01-28 23:10
Buu ate the Grand Supreme Kai. He surrendered himself to save Shin, the East Supreme Kai which is the small mohawked one that shows up at the start of the Buu saga along with Kibito.
I've never thought very hard about how stupid the lore of the Dragonball universe (multiverse?) actually is, but it is ridiculously over the top how stupid the actual story and characters are. I am unsure these days if I liked it when I was younger because it was actually good, or if the convoluted plotlines and mysterious joke characters made it more interesting than it deserved to be.
Waifu_Raichu2026-01-28 23:13
Toriyama is a comedian at the end of the day
wetrythisagain2026-01-28 23:57
You liked it because of vibes and emotions, it took you along for a journey, it appealed to your inner youthful drives like heroism, competition, adventure, friendship, freeing positivity and fun and silliness, making a name for yourself, a world of mysteries, mysticism and self control, athleticism, ideas of coolness and masculinity, literal wish fulfillment etc. The world of Dragonball is pretty cool, but yes, quite a few things don't make sense, but I guess it's inspired by spiritual stories where it never really makes sense why certain individuals are used as champions by gods and why gods don't intervene directly themselves and take shit seriously for once. But that matters less when you are younger and have a strong emotional WANT to be a champion, to be chosen, and some media taps into that.
appleappleappleman2026-01-28 17:08
That dog getting shot is one of the heaviest moments in the show
tico_formado2026-01-28 18:05
Buu is basically a child, kid Buu as well but... A fucked up child.
ardikus2026-01-28 19:16
Though Mr. SATAN is insufferable most of the time, his friendship arc with Buu and that little puppy was the highlight of the whole saga
Murasasme2026-01-28 19:26

Its very inline with Dragon Ball, as opposed to Dragon Ball Z. Which is why Buu saga is still my favorite and idgaf what the haters say. It felt like the perfect blend of Dragon Balls goofiness, story, and fun characters with the ever increasing action and stakes of dbz.

That kid was blind since birth, he had no way of knowing that people don't look like buu, he only pointed out his antenna because he knows he and the people close to him don't have it.
darkshy2026-01-28 16:22
If he’s touched another humans face he probably has some context.
JSlove2026-01-28 16:31
If he has never been able to see before, I don't think his brain would be able to form anything like an image. What he touched wouldn't translate into anything visual, so he wouldn't have any frame of reference to compare what he's now seeing.
YeetTheGiant2026-01-28 16:56
They tested this at some point and you're correct. It's called [Molyneux's problem](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Molyneux%27s_problem). People who had their blindness cured were unable to correlate things they knew from touch to things they were seeing
No_Wolf_57162026-01-28 16:39
Surprisingly no, research has tested whether a blind kid whose sight is restored can recognize a shape theyve touched before by sight alone. They cant immiedately, it takes a few days before they can coordinate what theyve touched with what they see
Superior_Mirage2026-01-28 17:06
Makes sense if you think about it as if you've never seen an image before -- I'd imagine 2D shapes weren't hard, but 3D would be very strange. You wouldn't intuitively grasp things that sighted people take for granted like "things looks smaller when they're further away" and "shadows".
I mean, [this](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cube#/media/File:Cube-h.svg) isn't a cube -- it's a lopsided hexagon with some lines cutting through it. But our brains are trained to recognize that some of the lines must be in front of the others, so they must be 3D. But that's learned, not automatic, so I'd imagine suddenly being able to see would make everything look 2D until you learned how to intuit it.
... learning how parallax works would be a nightmare.

I seen people in dragon Ball the whole series and bro I have no idea that people don't look like that.
Sea-Objective79432026-01-28 15:29
Rip legend 💔
Uchizaki2026-01-28 15:31
The manga suggests that Buu kills this child right after helping him.
Aksudiigkr2026-01-28 15:57
That’s unfortunate. Was it just implied as a joke or serious about it?
EldritchCarver2026-01-28 16:10
After Buu gave the boy milk, he flew off. In the next panel, he saw a city. In the next panel, he destroyed the city, creating a mushroom cloud in the process. The manga doesn't really imply it, but Uchizaki seems to be assuming the boy was close enough to the city to be killed by the shockwave.
darkrai8482026-01-28 16:27
Yeah, but going by DBZ logic the boy is probably fine. I think if he was ment to have died, it would have more specify showed that.
Lumpy-Manager85802026-01-28 15:32
Such a bummer that he died just when the DBS sequel got announced during the weekend. Whoever replaces him has got some huge shoes to fill.
qwadrat1k2026-01-28 15:36
Is that character supposed to be evil or just rude, but somewhat good?
WhirlwindTobias2026-01-28 15:47
Majin Buu is evil incarnate. Many DBZ villains choose to be evil, Buu just wants to destroy and destroy. What you're seeing here is a variant of Buu called Fat Buu, who is innocent but was under control of an evil wizard that told him what to do. Was.
Currently he is just flying around aimlessly trying to scare civilians because he's mentally a child and thinks that's the way things are, but the boy doesn't know Buu's past and isn't scared of him. It's the first time Buu has experienced kindness, which confuses him.
I don't want to add spoilers about why this variant isn't destroying everything.
qwadrat1k2026-01-28 15:49
Ah, I understand that character better now
Never watched DBZ
darkshy2026-01-28 16:24
I don’t know how the series holds up in the modern day, but if you have time I think that it’s worth the watch!
Darkblitz92026-01-28 16:24
To add to what WhirlwhindTobias said:
Buu is super duper evil incarnate, but he can absorb people and Fat Buu, as seen in the clip, is how he looks after absorbing the Grand Supreme Kai, a dude who was so good and carefree that the resulting dude was basically just a goofy goober.
Like the most evilest evil being to be magically created just became a funny fat guy because he ate the goodest good guy.
botnivik2026-01-28 15:38
Made me tear up what the heck dayo <3.
Closo2026-01-28 15:42
i remember watching this and dreading what was gonna happen, healing his eyesight just to terrify then eat him, but this scene shows he really is just a big kid. yeah, you are cool buu
Live_Bother_75172026-01-28 15:43
Rip VA. This is best part of Buu arc. I watched like 100 times on anime ep and shorts.
Natural_Ad15302026-01-28 15:45
Wholesome.
HobbyHands2026-01-28 15:56
I love what this scene shows with the context of what we learn later about Buu's history absorbing the Kai's. This version of Buu was sealed shortly after he absorbed the previous Supreme Kai so he never really had a chance to be affected by all that metaphysical goodness. He's still set on the chaotic destruction angle that he was created for, but then he encounters a being that isn't fighting him, but also isn't fleeing from him. A blank slate that doesn't react like everyone else always does.
So he uses the healing energies he probably got from the Kai's he absorbed to give the kid working eyes. This is literally the balancing influence of the Kai's he's absorbed working against the malice he was created with and giving him the opportunity to grow for the first time, and it links into the later revelations of his history so well. Love this kind of depth.

10/10 analysis 😭
HeroComeback232026-01-28 16:04
I know the Buu arc had its ups and downs but overall I really loved it. Goku turning Super Saiyan 3 lives rent free in my head lol
Independent-Form-1482026-01-28 16:24
Original Meruem and Komugi.
Somer-_-2026-01-28 16:25
RIP. Also the boy is voiced by Megumi Hayashibara.
UMP45isnotflat2026-01-28 16:27
Stuff like this is why I loved the buu saga and am glad Z did not end with Cell.
SubjectBodybuilder812026-01-28 16:34
i’ve ALWAYS loved the buu saga and never understood the hate for it, my favorite moments from the series are in the buu saga
UMP45isnotflat2026-01-28 16:47
Yeah the only part I can understand the hate for is maybe the early sayaman arc, though even that was a nice change of pace from the cell games for me and like a palate cleanser before going back into the serious parts with buu
And I guess I can see why SSJ3 can be "too much" even though it was super cool.
Loved the fusions, especially Vegito, loved kid trunks and goten, loved gohan living his own life with videl, obviously loved Vegeta redemption arc completing here and I even loved Satan.

"You not scared of Buu?"
This clip starts with dude ready to punch the kid, his clenched fist in the foreground.
I fully expected him to heal the kid, and THEN punch him when he could see lmao
But again, I probably shouldn't think too much on this.
I'll fill my headcannon a cure exists for everything (minus the Heart Virus).
I had always thought he contracted it in his space travels either during or after the Frieza Saga.
Hence why immortality is also not possible with Shenron (despite Freeza's attempt at it).
That and giving herself a 20YO butt again, lmao!

"That will destroy the global economy and put doctors out of business."
"WTF DUDE?!?"
german censoring at its peak >.<
He can’t actually do this Goku originally died due to a heart virus but couldn’t be brought back because it was a natural cause of death.

That might not matter to most people, but those morals matter to Bulma, at least.
A lot of people hate the sub, but the original VAs all do a great job. Some for almost 50 years.
I like both, Dragon Ball is actually one of only a handful of series that I enjoy the dub of. The only other one being OG YuGiOh.
Though I view the sub and dub versions of each series as basically separate shows because of the differences between them in soundtracks and changed lines.
