Ruri Rocks was such an unexpected gem, and I would gladly watch another season and hope the anime did well enough for the manga to get an offical English translation

I was disappointed that it was just full on gooner content and the mods completely ignored peoples request to make it SFW Honestly does more harm than good to a series they apparently like.

It’s a shame because Ruri Rocks is honestly a really great slice of life story with compelling characters and inspires a real sense of wonder in the world. You can tell the mangaka really did their research, and the studio loved the source material with how much polish the anime has. Also Shoko’s recruitment episode was one of my favorite of any anime last year.

It was my 2nd favorite of 2025 too funny enough. I wish it got nominated for AOTY here too, but I’m happy enough it got nominated for slice of life, animation, and background art

I haven’t watched Precure but have watched most of the other Slice of Life nominees and believe Ruri Rocks is the deserving winner. But that’s just my opinion. I am more certain though of it winning slice of life than I am of my favorite anime winning anime of the year
