HOT TAKE: when a anime makes a sequel with characters in the future and all of them having kids and stuff it turns out bad

Ok so recently whenever animes come out with sequals they aren't like good at all. Half of the stuff dosent even line up with the og show especially things that are very lore important to the show. I have 1 good example and 1 bad example of this. After naruto shipudden there is baruto. Now at first the show is good but then it starts to go wild. First orochimaru is walking around freely as if he didnt almost kill everyone and there parents and is literally a proven pedo. And number two apparently baruto had 6 kids or wtv and naruto is trapped in a dimension and all this Bullshit. Like ***who decided that*** it dosent even make sense. Who could even keep track of that. My second example which is the bad example is the seven deadly sins. Like first escanor dies in the og anime like ***who decided that*** and now Percival is the main character and Tristan isnt. Like thsts just bullshit to me. Tristian is meliodas and Elizabeth's kid. They are the main characters in the whole show so it would make sense to follow tristian or do it so its equal screentime between all the new group. Either way lmk what yall think about my hotake

I have never watched Clannad but even I know it is one of the highest rated KyoAni anime out there and in fact one of the best in general that almost always is recommended constantly.

And that was in the period when KyoAni was the absolute be-all-end-all-studio

That’s not a remotely comparable thing. He’s talking largely about the trend of action shonen shows having a decisive ending and then having a new generation of characters take up the helm in a new show. Only the leads of CLANNAD have a kid, and the kid doesn’t become the main character. It’s also an adaptation of a visual novel where this was part of the narrative before it was ever adapted. I don’t think much of these “next generation” action shonen shows have these kid characters or plots planned out during the original run. They were invented to market a new story for an existing IP.

if they exclusively meant action shonen, then specifying that would’ve helped. Since it can’t even be inferred. All I can infer from this post is that they’ve seen Naruto, Boruto, and 7DS…and that grammar and sentence structure aren’t their strong points.
