I had rock bottom expectations going into this anime. Maybe that's at least partially why I didn't think it was horrible, although I can't confidently call it good either. The beginning is kind of interesting. Although it does start like yet another pointless Isekai where the protagonist, who happens to be a scientist, a detail that is never important after her minute or less long backstory, is reincarnated as a young girl, named Ellen, after that I did enjoy the family dynamic that's established, with her new father marrying a spirit. There's even some potentially intriguing political stuff like the father, named Rovel Vankrefift, is a member of royalty and the brother of the guy who is supposed to take over leadership of the kingdom and Rovel himself has been journeying around for 10 years and finally returned home and his brohter wants him to become the crown prince but he supposedly wouldn't be able to because he himself is half spirit. But it goes downhill after like 2-4 episodes and becomes extremely boring. There's a lot of plot points and none of them are given nearly enough time to be fleshed out well enough for me to care about them, like the royal family supposedly being cursed so long ago that they don't have generational memory or records of them, for crimes that we never learn about. At a certain point the only thing that kept me going through it was Ellen, who's super cute, likable, and endearing. But even that wore thin eventually.
