With the prevelence of Isekai dominating modern anime it only made sense to do some kind of crossover. And while I would have personally preferred a serious crossover where many of the main characters in various Isekai have to team up to defeat a powerful threat that requires all of their strength, this more comedic one is still pretty good. It involves a few of the characters in a small collection of Isekai pressing random red buttons and getting comedically teleported to a separate world, into a high school setting. That's another thing is that the high school setting is obviously gorsely overdone in anime, but the point of this show is watching the various characters personalities bounce off of each other, seeing how they conflict, or in some cases, compliment one another. At the start of the series they just use the core characters from each franchise. From Konosuba that's Kazuma, Darkness, Aqua, and Megumin, from Re:Zero that's Subaru, Rem, Ram, and Emilia, from Overlord that's Ainz, Albedo, Shaltear, Coloscus, and Demiurge, and from The Saga of Tanya the Evil that's Tanya herself and that one female friend of hers, but as the series progresses some more characters from each anime do join them. Like I said before, seeing the characters interact are the best part. Kazuma and Subaru beocme close friends, Albedo hates basically every other female there becuase she thinks they're going after Ainz, Tanya thinks Ainz is "Being X" the mysterious God that reincarnated her in the first place, and many of the dudes constantly oogle Darkness, especially the military men from The Saga of Tanya the Evil, which obviously she's into. Isekai Quarted really did pretty good justice to the concept of a comedic, short form crossover between these characters and franchises.
