Rising of the shield hero!

Why are they continuing this!

I don’t understand what’s the reason to continue such a mid and chopped anime! Yeah season 1 was great, it had a good story line but after season 1 everything went downhill. It could have been a great anime! Had amazing potential. But now I honestly done see the reason is to why they are continuing it!

Because Japanese fans like it which is their main audience not western fans.

It's also been pretty popular in the West and Crunchyroll remains part of the production committee.

>It's also been pretty popular in the West

It is but some people dismissed it after season 1.

Season 1 was really really good!!

Light novel is really long and pretty interesting world building and lore. Gets pretty crazy as lore builds

Not for everyone though. You do you

Why do they keep making any anime... because it generates an audience. Just because you don't like it, that doesn't everyone thinks it mid. If there was no audience there would be no more seasons.

It gets a lot of views. CR is the main sponsor for this one.

S4 was somehow even more boring than S2, which is crazy. Another crazy thing is that another similar series is the Vending Machine isekai series, which they also sponsor continuing when it was quickly axed in light novel form.

It’s not for you. Watch something else.

Just like I think one piece is total pos, and question the mind set of everyone that enjoys it, it’s not for me and don’t watch it.

TransbianMoonGoddess2026-01-30 07:51

Why do you care? Some like it, you don't, oh well.

MerryW34ther2026-01-30 07:54

Then don't watch it lmao. Simple.

> season 1 was great

was it? i’d take it a notch further and say it was bad at the midpoint of episode 1.

> why are they continuing this!

people like it and i guess sales are being made. i don’t fully understand why, but that’s how it goes sometimes. some things just don’t click for you, but apparently for everyone else it does.

To each their own!

Actually I thought Season 3 is the best season. But there is still an appetite for the show

Briannacdsa2026-01-30 08:47

isekai animes are fan favorites. they have more fans i believe.

Money.

I legit had the same thoughts

Cowpitulate2026-01-30 11:04

Every single time he is about to go hellmode one of his stupid fucking fanservice team members prevents him, that literally was the end of the anime for most people because from that point on the main character no longer had any risks or complexity. It became an extremely safe anime that went from being well balanced to being 1980s My Little Pony levels of ugghh

Kukii_kuriimu2026-01-30 11:37

True that

The_Abyss_Of_Thought2026-01-31 03:16

It’s not the most interesting but i’ve enjoyed the characters journeys and the building of their own country. i also still find mid anime enjoyable. not everything is going to be life changing or a 10/10.
