It's genuinely not that bad.
Of course it's trash: It's a generic power fantasy with the deck stacked so hard against the main character, it's seriously not subtle.
But it has some actual characterisation for the side characters and it has some really weird ideas as to what to do with the (newly empowered) main character, but you have to...let's say...actually pay attention to what it does differently than other similar shows, which I think many people straight up missed.
I always thought it was weirdly charming for being completely open about being trash and I will always respect a series that knows what it wants to be than one that doesn't.

It actually is that bad. I watch generic isekai slop all the time and this is the only one I had to genuinely force myself to finish. The characters are stupid. The plot is stupid and boring. The animation is bad. Everything about it is absolute trash.

And you didn't think a modeling episode was absolutely weird and actually was thematically far more striking and relevant for a character who has serious struggles with how they look?
Of course it's shallow, but that is what I liked about it: A lot of the struggles the main character faces are also shallow, but are often brushed aside in these stories where the mian character magically transforms.
The animation is bad, sure, but...eh, I don't really like criticising shows for that, it's just a question of resources after all.

I have no issue with shallow struggles. In fact, I think they are realistic and should be portrayed more often in media. However, I do have a problem with terrible writing and execution, which is the only thing this anime excels at.

Music is forgettable and generic. I genuinely can't remember a single piece and I am actually someone who appreciates music in all types of media. Good voice acting is pretty much the norm in JP at this point, so nothing out of the ordinary. I guess character style is interesting.

So many anime nowadays originate from popular Japanese web novels written by amateur authors. In order to make their works stand out online, they tend to lean towards more exaggerated titles, sort of like how youtubers will sometimes have clickbait-y or dramatic titles/thumbnails.
It's entirely possible several of them wouldn't have gotten recognized in the same way if they didn't have some sort of noticeable title.
