I'm new to anime, idk much, I need ur suggestion !!

I'm thinking of watching an anime. I'm confused which one should I watch, Dragon Ball Z or Naruto ??

I'm thinking of drangon ball z because I've a childhood touch with it although I don't remember anything about it just pure nostalgia seeing the charectors but then people say that Naruto is one of the best Animes.

So guys pls suggest me which one should I watch ??

And can u give reason for the anime u are recommending?

Thankyou 😁✌️

JuggernautEmpire20622026-01-30 15:21

Oh really, is it also one of the popular ones ??

hgsgm2026-01-30 15:23

It’s a romcom and yes it’s def popular

JuggernautEmpire20622026-01-30 15:26

Oh Ohk Ohk, thnx for telling 🫡

cooluser092026-01-30 15:29

Wc but don't forget to tell me tho

cooluser092026-01-30 15:24

Yeah it's a romance anime and hell yeah it's popular and lemme know in my dm how u felt after watching that

JuggernautEmpire20622026-01-30 15:25

Oh ok sure. Btw how many episodes does it have ??

cooluser092026-01-30 15:26

2 seasons with 24 eps in Total

JuggernautEmpire20622026-01-30 15:45

Ohk thnx. 🤝

RedDemonSword2026-01-30 15:32

Total: 24 but don't get confused with the second season (12 episodes). It is not a continuation but a compilation of little stories/events that play inbetween the events in thr first season. They left out a lot from the source material and adapted them into a season.

cream00042026-01-30 15:22

My all time favorite is Charlotte.

benoxxxx2026-01-30 15:23

Both of these shows are very old and dated. That doesn't mean they're bad and you won't enjoy them, but they're from a time when shows used to air every week instead of season by season, so there's a lot of stretched pacing, flashbacks, etc. And obviously the production quality is low by modern standards.

For someone who's new to Anime I think it's better to recommend shows that are good by modern standards, not just good for their time. First impressions are important y'know.

So, assuming you're mostly interested in action:

- Attack on Titan
- Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
- My Hero Academia

Try one of these instead IMO.

JuniorJump68392026-01-30 15:26

Don’t start with AOT you’ll never find anything that good again

benoxxxx2026-01-30 15:31

Idk, AOT is amazing but I'm not sure I'd even list it in my top 20 personally.

Fluffy_data_doges2026-01-30 15:27

If you want one of the newer shonen then you could always go for Demon Slayer. It's not my cup of tea but is very popular at the moment. The ones you mentioned can look pretty dated to a new watcher.

Unsure of your age but if you are not early teens then I would recommend Chainsaw Man or DanDaDan. Both are much shorter than the ones you mentioned. If you go for Naruto or DBZ you are locked in for a long time.

seventhlayercurse2026-01-30 15:28

What type of shows/movies do you like to watch in general? A good recommendation will require that. I won't recommend Dragon Ball Z or Naruto as they seem to drag out and you could lose your interest. A general starter anime is Death Note or FullMetal Alchemist Brotherhood. These are shorter with a more complete story. Afterwords, you can move on to those longer ones.

JuggernautEmpire20622026-01-30 15:42

Any crime related, horror. I loved watching death note, it created my interest in anime.

JuggernautEmpire20622026-01-30 15:43

Bro many people are recommending me horimiya, idk anything about this anime. Is it a good one ??

I hope it has nothing fishy 🙃

seventhlayercurse2026-01-30 15:48

Horimiya is romcom. If you like crime or horror, then Monster is good, but it is not as fast paced as Death note. You would also like Attack On Titan (horror+ plot twists), one of the best animes.

Previous-Leg-20122026-01-30 15:37

Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer, Hell’s Paradise, Solo Leveling. I would recommend one of these. My wife says these are “boy’s shows” but still watches and enjoys them with me. If they got a hot, blonde, ER Nurse’s approval I’m sure they’ll get yours, too

n3gr12026-01-30 15:38

watch deathnote.

PuzzleheadedBeat7972026-01-30 15:40

Start with Oreairu. It is slow paced and funny. It's the best romcom to start anime. Or you can start with Death Note it has been a starting point for many anime watchers. Mine too.

cfarris1822026-01-30 15:59

Berserk 1997. It'll scar you, but the story is gripping and memorable.
