Oshi no ko is following the manga so well. This season so far has been peak.
ball_throwerAFK2026-01-30 16:55
I forgot people liked this show. All I hear about it is just how it falls off a cliff
Cyclone_962026-01-30 17:02
The show just keeps getting better.
I've heard the same about the manga, but the anime hasn't reached any of the controversial parts yet, so I'm still loving it.
ExpiringMilknCheese2026-01-30 17:03
oh it definitely does fall off a cliff but not **yet.** The hatred towards this series all comes from later in the manga. This season has been and will be pretty good.
juliacare2026-01-30 17:09
The idea that the manga ends bad is weird. It ends completely fine.
ExpiringMilknCheese2026-01-30 17:16
Again, not exactly a popular opinion. But if you liked it, all power to you.
EvilSpaceSorcerer2026-01-30 17:45
Eh, the ending makes sense for the themes, I don’t hate it. What I do hate was that it was a rushed mess getting there, and Akasaka dropped so much character development to get there quickly. The last arc needed like 20 more chapters
AndrewSuarez2026-01-30 18:07
[ending] >!Cannot disagree more on the thematics, the only series i've seen that ended worse is GoT and this one is pretty close. One of the worst character assassinations ever and it completely ruined the rewatchability for me!<
gho5trun3r2026-01-30 18:18
While I think an unhappy or not a pure happy ending was fairly expected, I don't think the reversal of character arcs and development was where we expected the story to go. That's the part that felt messy and rushed.
Averagestudentx2026-01-30 18:05
Not at all. That's like defending the ending to Game of thrones like that is just stupid. So many plot holes, character developments went down the drain and there was no closure on anything... Definitely one of the worst endings I've ever seen.
gho5trun3r2026-01-30 18:16
It's going to be such an interesting time when anime onlys reach that point of the story and start raging with us.
Unless they do an anime original ending or something.
TheBusStop122026-01-30 18:26
>Unless they do an anime original ending or something.
I can honestly see that happening. Aki is writing an anime only ending movie for Kaguya-sama. It isn't impossible that he'll get involved with the anime ending of Oshi no Ko as well. Either a completely original ending, or expanding on the manga ending so it isn't as rushed
Chukonoku2026-01-30 19:24
I see we are all hoffing on that copium ever since that Kaguya announcement lol
No1EmmaFrostGooner2026-01-30 18:42
Yeah i can't wait to see the disappointment in anime watcher's eyes. It still hurts me to see such a good manga ended like that. I hope there will be an anime only ending. If not it will leave a sour taste in everyone's mouth for sure.
MyNameIsNikNak2026-01-30 17:05
A lot of people get their opinions on popular things from the internet, rather than just watching the media itself.
Every manga ending is bad until it gets animated and then suddenly it’s fine.
ExpiringMilknCheese2026-01-30 17:07
you talking about controversial endings tho, like MHA and Attack on Titan's. Oshi no ko's was never controversial but just despised.
At best it was bad and dull, and at worst it was an insult to the manga fans that read it from the start.
fan reception towards this reminded me of Game of thrones reception
tripleaamin2026-01-30 17:09
How was mha ending controversial?
ball_throwerAFK2026-01-30 17:14
I can actually vouch about this one because I was around then too,
When we look at other manga that have recently ended, MHA isn’t so bad when you look at it, it ended pretty decently. Safe ending tbf.
But during the later chapters of MHA, Deku was getting set up as a lonely guy after 8 year time skip in chapter 430.
The anime and later chapter obviously helped clear this up. But Deku was getting memed a shit ton because he [Anime Spoilers]>!supposedly saved the world but didn’t get the girl and all his friends supposedly “ditched” him when he lost his powers.!<
Remember the McDonald’s meme?
Ok-Cod52542026-01-30 17:34
>The anime and later chapter obviously helped clear this up
I mean for the manga, the official translation cleared some things up with the original chapter, but many people were going off leaks and bad translations, while they didn't even go back to read the official release to spread misinformation and skew the perception.
Many people with most of the same content in the anime didn't get the same impression and even were overall fine with how things were for the original end before the special episode was even announced later on.
Ok-Cod52542026-01-30 18:33

MyNameIsNikNak2026-01-30 17:10
I am a manga fan who watched the ending as it came out. I think it was poorly executed and not well set up, but ultimately could work if done properly. I’m expecting the anime to rectify that, and it will likely be much better received when animated.
ExpiringMilknCheese2026-01-30 17:19
While I think the base concept is okay, I think it needs a complete arc remake and not just a few nooks and crannies to fix.
Every singular character in the final arc is poorly written. And that is not something you can fix by making some directorial changes, but completely revising the end script.
MyNameIsNikNak2026-01-30 17:32
I don’t disagree, the movie arc had the potential to be an amazing climax for every character and ended up being somewhere between lackluster and frustratingly disappointing, it was rough to follow weekly.
I do however think it could be fixed. Studio Doga Kobo has shown a lot of care and understanding for the series, and Akasaka has become interested in taking a second draft at Kaguya through anime.
Ultimately I think that arc could be saved with some pacing changes/ cutting the shit that doesn’t go anywhere, and some anime original content to keep characterization more consistent (something they’ve already been doing to a much more minor degree with characters like Akane)
Again I could certainly be proven wrong. The anime has a much bigger task to complete than just nailing the adaptation like it has been, but I feel very hopeful that they can do it. It will probably never be a beloved all time ending or anything like that, but the studio has proven itself dedicated to making the best possible version of the story, and has already made me a fan of parts of the manga I’ve had problems with in its already adapted material.
I guess my big main point that I’m dancing around is that the doom posting before even the final season just feels way too preemptive. Many many manga with disliked endings -controversial or otherwise- get built up by people who had been deeply invested in them for years who feel betrayed, only to come out as anime with revisions for a more casual audience who are much less critical.
ExpiringMilknCheese2026-01-30 17:39
Maybe I’ll share your copium, I don’t think they can make it work unless they either revise it completely or end it with the movie arc.
But in the miracle that they do and still keep the original components of the manga then I will chant their names in joy.
Because personally for me I think it was one of the worst attempts at ending a series I’ve read in a long time in manga. if they can make it work, nobody will be happier than me. so let’s just hope.
_-Zephyr-2026-01-30 17:07
Oshi no ko's manga ending was awful
just like how attack on titans manga ending was terrible, and the anime was also terrible.
No1EmmaFrostGooner2026-01-30 18:46
No aot ending in both manga and anime wasnt bad. But oshi no ko ending was forced and disappointing.
tendousatori2026-01-30 17:12
Kinda disingenuous since some of the more controversial endings like AoT received modifications when they were animated.
Also like the other commenter said, comparing controversial endings to despised endings is a different ball park. Lots of people liked MHA’s ending even in the manga, for example. I’ve never seen a soul who liked OnK’s ending.
MyNameIsNikNak2026-01-30 17:15
I just said in another comment I think it’s conceptually fine but poorly executed. Of course the anime is going to make changes, the oshi no ko ending has been making changes to better establish and foreshadow things that were otherwise considered an asspull. The manga version of this current arc was poorly received, and is loved here in animation.
Is it possible the ending will still be hated? Of course, but I am pretty confident it will be significantly better received than when the manga ended.
tendousatori2026-01-30 17:18
That’s fair, but I still think that in that case that the manga readers and general internet sentiment on the manga ending being terrible is still valid.
MyNameIsNikNak2026-01-30 17:20
The fellow manga readers I’ll accept it from, I completely understand being let down by something you had high expectations for, a good chunk of the internet (non manga readers) is still regurgitating misinformation that the series ends with incest though so I’m not too concerned with secondhand opinions.
_Linkiboy_2026-01-30 18:42
I did not dislike it. I binged like 50 chapters till the end and it felt like fine, I was not like: wow this is good or wow this is bad. It felt like they tried to resolve the murder mystery plot, which I didn't care that much about compared to the idol industry side.
I thought they had to do it at some point because of how the story was set up, so they did exactly that and it was a fine execution.
Could they have done it better? Yes, but I think the promise with the murder mystery was set up awkward in the first place
No1EmmaFrostGooner2026-01-30 18:45
I never thought aot and mha ending was bad in the manga, and anime didn't change it and people still liked it as i knew. But oshi no ko was disappointing. I still recommend the manga because the overall story and characters are great, but ending was just... disappointing and sooo forced.
IQ_less2026-01-30 17:07
Its very similar to Kaguya's decline tbh. Author clearly knows how to prolong an interesting story indefinitely... only to do crash landing for the endings. But I was there since The man in the High Castle happened (a very good alt history TV series that kept on rushing ending of every single season). I was also there when the whole G.O.T thing came tumbling down. So after all that, I'd say it's best we enjoy the ride, even when knowing full well where it's heading toward. Sort of like an inevitable tragedy, don't you think? And simply can't wait for anime only watchers when they get to share their own reactions of the ending with us ngl. Would be so entertaining for sure.
tendousatori2026-01-30 17:15
I dunno I think Kaguya’s ending was… fine? Like the last arc wasn’t great but it wasn’t abysmal or anything. I felt like the core and heart of the series was still evident in it.
IQ_less2026-01-30 17:23
You mean the manga's or the anime's? Cuz the anime limited the dmg by like 99,99% already. In the manga the author simply didnt know when to stop. It was rushed, dragged out, shallow and overwhelming (with quantity, not quality) all at the same time. Was reading it as things played out, being released chapter by chapter. Can still recall the trauma from the whole ordeal to this very day tbh.
tendousatori2026-01-30 17:25
The manga’s ending ya. I agree that it wasn’t great but to me it was like a different tier still from OnK’s ending. Like OnK’s ending felt like the entire series was a waste of time to me, but with Kaguya I still felt like overall the series was still fun.
IQ_less2026-01-30 17:30
Totally agree. What I focused on was that author seems to not be very good at doing endings, and so OnK sort of follow the same pattern as Kaguya-sama. But at least the latter stays true to the characters and narrative being established beforehand.
RepentantSororitas2026-01-30 19:30
I precisely did not watch season 2 because I was so disappointed in the manga.
I just kind of lost motivation to care about this show
mebbyyy2026-01-30 20:13
Unfortunate as season 2 is absolutely amazing in terms of adaptation goes
RepentantSororitas2026-01-30 21:12
It just bums me out so much. I feel like I need reassurance they will do a good ending.
It just was such a throw away ending that I ruined the rest of the story for me.
Kardiackon2026-01-30 23:04
I mean I'm one of the people who thinks the ending is way overhated lol
anyways appreciate the show for what it is, letting literally, what, 20% of the show dictate how you feel about the other 80% feels very sad. I loved the manga until the last 20% and even then I wasn't too bummed about it because overall I had a great time with it.
I think constantly bringing it up in every thread that mentions the show is arguably worse because all you're doing is making anime only fans lose motivation (just like you did) to continue watching and literally almost NOTHING about the anime adaptation has been bad so far.
RepentantSororitas2026-01-30 23:19
I dont think its sad. There are like 15 other anime to watch every single month. I only really pick 2-3 a season.
Thousands of anime in the backlog. Like really good shows I have not even started.
Even more thousands of shows if I go outside anime.
I didnt like the manga. Sorry if you dont like my opinion.
Kunalthecool2026-01-31 01:03
yea im with you. The ending was just horribly written lol ruby going down the same path as ai just left a bitter taste in my mouth. So sad because it was one of my favorite shows

I feel the pacing is quite brisk, I've been enjoying this few episodes.
Zoulogist2026-01-30 21:09
They’re still in the peak parts of the manga before it all fell apart
Airplane_Crasher2026-01-30 16:52

Anime corner will always surprise me, because while it was a pretty good ep, Oshi no Ko didnt really have anything happen this week and yet it got first. (like no major Plot point).
Fate strange fake went up which is good tho. As long as it keeps rising ill be happy.
_Pyxyty2026-01-30 17:06
Honestly what's surprising me is Hell's Paradise. First season really did not impress, so I didn't pick up the second season. I wonder if it really is that good this season
RobinTheKing2026-01-30 17:54
It's more of the same, I don't really care about the characters, but it's not a bad watch
kazuyaminegishi2026-01-30 19:35
Season 1 got through all of the set up so season 2 is primarily just action and expanding on Tao. It also has more consistent animation. Season 1 had great animation and art in episode 1 while the rest of the season was more average. Season 2 on the other hand has had a lot of effort in every episode so far, its not superior to what a titan like JJK or Freiren are doing, but its definitely an improvement on season 1.
OmegaDez2026-01-30 17:06
We're watching Ruby learning to play the game. I thought it was important.
ExpiringMilknCheese2026-01-30 17:22
Yeah but [Manga Spoilers]>!Overall completely irrelevant and leads nowhere!<
Eugunior2026-01-30 17:35
The whole controversy with meiya and the ending of the episode is what made this episode top of this week.Once again,Onk covered an issue common of cosplaying not seen mentioned more in other medias, especially animes.Instead, animes usually overlook this issue but im not going to spoil what it is
GeminiFlanagan8882026-01-30 16:56
not a fan of jjk but thought it would be on top. what happened?
ball_throwerAFK2026-01-30 16:59
Only 4000 votes, a far cry from what Anime corner used to be, I wouldn’t take these rankings too serious.
zairaner2026-01-30 17:03
This is yesterdays episode, not the big episode from last week.
IQ_less2026-01-30 17:10
This is sort of a build up ep. Some investigation, planning and scheming occured, but the action parts are mostly just pretty art displays and not as much aura farming and high stake combat sequences as the previous ones. But there's plenty of fights left in the current arc, so do expect its position to go up again.
AlchemistJeep2026-01-30 17:16
Hells paradise turned into literal hardcore porn
Ordinary-You81022026-01-30 16:56
Finally hells paradise gets the praise it deserves
brickspunch2026-01-30 17:55
honestly the first season wasn't great. finally started to get a story in the second half of the season, everything before that was just "here's a new character, now watch them die"
it felt like we were being introduced to characters that didn't matter for way too long
Ordinary-You81022026-01-30 17:58
Sometimes you dont need boring flashbacks in a fighting 13-ep anime and just watch the anime and live in the moment (e.g Gabimaru vs Orange tensen was PEAK)
MarrisaAerith2026-01-30 20:43
Yes! Urgh, I'm soo freaking happy kniwing the ending is sooooo freaking good

How is Midnight Heart making this list every week?
Not that it's a horrible show, but it seems to be a bit of an outlier on a list of amazing anime.
tripleaamin2026-01-30 17:05
The manga is very popular online. For a harem romcom it being low budget doesn’t bother them.
I personally couldn’t watch the anime after reading the mangas beautiful art.
Automatic_Mango_95342026-01-30 17:29
I'm currently reading the first volume of the manga and yeah the art is great. Although it feels wierd reading a manga about voice work without hearing anything

Why are you on Reddit if you're against discussion? It's like the whole point of the site.
It's also crazy to call my question dumb when your comment has zero grammatical structure. It's fine to disagree but there's no need to be a dick about anime opinions my friend.
Ok-Anxiety81712026-01-30 17:30
The only real problem with the series is the quality of the animation compared to other romances that have been released recently, but in terms of plot it won't be worse than "Polar Opposites" or "Tamons B-side".
detarameReddit2026-01-30 17:31
If I'm correct, the manga has decent art, which is enough to propel it to one of the best ongoing harem manga among manga readers.
I personally didn't enjoy it because I can't enjoy harem manga in general, but I suppose it does really well at the things harem manga readers are looking for.
Time_Fracture2026-01-31 02:03
The story carried the anime, to put it shortly.
After seeing Polar Opposites, you might be wondering if Mayochu get the same production value it would be good. I say it is, there is a potential.
tripleaamin2026-01-30 17:03
Yesterday’s sentenced to be a hero honestly has been my favorite episode. More of a transitional slowdown episode but it was needed.
Feels weird seeing hells paradise over JJK.
No surprise Oshi no ko is on top with the quality adaptation it has been receiving.
I know fate is not the simplest series to get into but seeing it barely the top ten is wild.
I hope journal with witch can make an appearance in the top 10. Sadly there is no chance for that happening with golden Kamuy. 😭
reball23102026-01-30 17:35
Journal with Witch is so good and should definitely be up here!
Ok-Cod52542026-01-30 18:40
That is the type of series that unfortunately seems less likely to get traction here, especially in a competitive season.
Time_Fracture2026-01-31 01:59
It's slowly rising to the top 10. Last week it was on 14th and this week it is on 12th.
brickspunch2026-01-30 17:58
I think people are starting to realize JJK is falling apart
trash10002026-01-30 18:13
Just wait a few episodes. This season will likely include an internet breaking moment.
PerceptionOk85432026-01-30 18:20
What moment? You mean Hakari fight? It’s not internet breaking lol
QuickiexD772026-01-30 18:55
I think they mean the ending of the season. Because it’s very likely it ends with the switch. Otherwise I also think the “domain expansion” part with Yuta will go hard also.
kazuyaminegishi2026-01-30 19:32
Sendai colony will definitely be a big moment.
Megumi's fight should also be a decently big moment.
If they hit the Higuruma fight just right it should land well also, it has a moment I am personally looking forward to.
Then again, Anime Corner means literally nothing to greater reception so no real conclusions can be drawn from this other than what vocal Anime Corner users like since this isn't a random sampling.
tripleaamin2026-01-30 19:01
That’s not until cour 2.
Any-Photo96992026-01-30 19:34
How? It's been a blast so far lol.
Wahruz2026-01-30 17:07
"About Frieren:
A post was talking about why frieren falls but now gone."
Probably depends on when this anime corner is taken? Its just 1 week and Frieren E3 literally drop just 1 hours from this very comment.
This post also taken on friday the day Frieren episode drops. Which is the data point taken 23-30 jan, both friday.
Also generally speaking, frieren is more mainstream than Oshi No Ko and the others. Probably a big chunk of people "non-anime elitist" didt use Animelist or this anime polls website. It just ~4k people.
Ok-Cod52542026-01-30 18:39
This is from Frieren ep 2, not 3. The poll was closed before ep 3 even came out. So Friday shows are for the following list.

Where is Medalist??
Ok-Cod52542026-01-30 17:25
It only made it on Anime Corner top 10 like once during season 1, so it doesn't have enough of an audience here.
Time_Fracture2026-01-31 02:01
I recall Medalist normally was between 15th and 20th in its first season.
This week Medalist was at 25th, is it due to stacked season?
Ok-Cod52542026-01-31 02:09
Started late and a stacked season.
tripleaamin2026-01-30 19:02
Also it’s not available in US on Hulu yet last I checked.

This is from yesterday's episode (ep 5) - Hakari introduction.
dododomo2026-01-30 17:21
Of the shows I'm watching:
* Hell's paradise = 2nd
* JJK = 3rd
* Frieren = 4th
* Tamon's B side = 9th
* Journal with witch = 12th
* In the clear moonlit dusk = 14th
* Hana-Kimi = 16th
* Isekai Office Worker the other world's books depend on the bean counter = 17th
* The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife = 24th
* Medalist = 25th
* Trigun stargaze = 29th
* golden kamuy = 32nd
* A gentle Noble's Vacation Recommendation = 49th
I expected at least Trigun to be higher tbh lol

virr4skywalker2026-01-30 17:44
bro can you tell me watch order of fate ?
Automatic_Mango_95342026-01-30 18:02
You have 2 main ways to get into fate:
1. The most recommended is the VN that has 3 routes:fate,UBW and heaven's feel. You can buy it on steam and switch.
2. If you are not a fan of VNs there is also the anime which is a bit more complicated. Start with fate/stay night Unlimited blade works by ufotable(not the deen version),then watch the movie trilogy of fate/stay night heaven's feel(also by ufotable). Then it's not a must but i recommend also watching fate/zero which is a prequel to stay night.
After one of these 2 ways you have the base knowledge needed to watch or play any fate media

\- [Third](https://myanimelist.net/anime/33050/Fate_stay_night_Movie__Heavens_Feel_-_III_Spring_Song)
**Fate Zero** this is a prequel to Fate/Stay Night, but is meant to be watched after as it's a prequel **sequel**. This is pretty much the end of the *main* fate series so everything after this is watchable generally whenever.
**Today's Menu for the Emiya Family** (cute short 13min episodes with really nice art style from Ufotable. Features the Fate Stay Night cast. Last like 3-4 minutes of each episode is about a food recipe) Not a mandatory watch.
\- [Season 1](https://www.myanimelist.net/anime/37033)
**Lord El Melloi II** Best watched after Fate Zero. Takes place during and after Stay/Night.
**Fate Apocrypha** Usually the first spinoff I recommend after El Melloi. The Third Grail War never concluded in this timeline so F/Z and F/SN don't happen.
**Fate Extra** - This anime is a loose adaptation of the Fate Extra game. It adapts a route that does not actually happen in it. Not the greatest adaptation, but a unique one. It's animated by Studio SHAFT, having a very Madoka-iy look. (Season 1 is the first batch of episodes, the last 3 came out later due to production issues)
\- [Season 1](https://myanimelist.net/anime/33047)
\- [Last 3 Episodes](https://myanimelist.net/anime/37651)
Also the game is receiving a remake coming out next year. [Trailer here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJNxMqkgThs) (note it was delayed to 2026) I'd personally suggest seeing it after playing the game at this stage since it's so close.
**Fate Grand Order** An adaptation of the Fate/Grand Order gacha game. It's not the best but it generally serves its purpose. Some of it will be way better than the others. First Order is the prologue of the game, and then skips 5 arcs to Camelot so it's gonna be a bit of a jarring jump. Just keep that in mind and you'll be fine. Not totally 1:1 but if you've played the Persona games think of FGO as palaces on a world level.

\-- [Moonlight Lostroom](https://myanimelist.net/anime/36915) (can honestly skip this ova. it is insanely confusing if you haven't played FGO.)
**Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya**
(this anime is ultra controversial, there are elementary school girls tongue kissing in it. A shame because it's **actually** a really good story. You can skip if you'd like. There's two really great characters that make an appearance in it that unfortunately don't have any other current anime appearances. They will show up in Carnival Phantasm at the bottom of this list, which is a gag anime.)

(For Fate Illya you can skip the OVAs and shorts. While there is some comedy that ISNT attached to lolicon bait, pretty much all of it is. The only one I wouldn't skip is Movie 1 OVA Sakuras Room)
**Fate Strange Fake** Fate Strange Fake is a love letter to the Fate series from Ryohgo Narita, author most famous for Baccano and Durarara (both excellent series with excellent anime adaptations). Strange Fake started airing on January 3rd 2026. If you're wondering why I put it down here, it's because it contains references big and small to pretty much everything above. You can technically watch it after Apocrypha, or El Melloi or even Zero, but you'd be missing some really cool references. It's a story that's greatly enhanced by knowledge, as much of it as possible.

\- [Season 1](https://myanimelist.net/anime/55830/Fate_strange_Fake) (started January 3rd 2026)
**Kara no Kyoukai: The Garden of Sinners**
Garden of Sinners is Nasu's first work, and these movies are PHENOMENAL. Animated by ufotable. You'll be immensely surprised how beautiful the animation is given they were releasing from 2007 to 2013. They're ordered in release order. Should be noted the stories themselves are chronologically all over the place but it's intended.
\--[Manners Movies](https://myanimelist.net/anime/23697) (these stop motion shorts played in theaters to tell the audience to mind their manners. Very cute. I suggest interweaving them with each movie.)

**Mahoyo/Witch on the Holy Night** (Technically prequel to Tsukihime, leads me to believe Ufotable will do a Tsukihime anime adaptation afterwards)
\- [Movie](https://myanimelist.net/anime/50668) (not out yet, but this is most probably where I'd put it.)
[Here's a trailer.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ML10KNGEif8)
**Carnival Phantasm** - Time for the treats. Funny gag section of pretty much all of the Fate content you just watched. So many memes. Includes Tsukihime characters, but don't worry about it. Tsukihime will for sure get an anime adaptation at some point (totally not coping)

You're welcome!!
Forsaken_Bet24642026-01-31 04:36
Please don’t get overwhelmed by this you don’t need to know everything signal property that’s referenced to enjoy fate strange fake. Once you finish fate ubw and heavens feel and then zero. (You can watch zero first before both of these too, it’s not the end of the world) case files, apocrypha, and Tsuskihime are the most reference other series and spinoffs but don’t feel like they are necessary. You can honestly watch strange fake concurrently while you watch ubw/zero just make sure to watch heavens feel after ubw.
Thomas_JCG2026-01-30 17:37
*Frieren* at fourth place?!
robertm942026-01-30 17:39
No medalist or journal with witch on this list...?
Time_Fracture2026-01-31 02:02
Medalist #25, Journal With Witch #12.
PuzzleheadedMode75172026-01-30 17:39
The only way JJK is gonna stay on top is if there's a flashy fight scene every animation bruh
There were so many good scenes and cinematic cuts in last week's episode but no big fight so no big ratings
trash10002026-01-30 18:12
Still P3 though?
Any-Photo96992026-01-30 19:33
I mean... Yeah, that's usually how ratings work. Episodes where more stuff happens tend to be rated higher. It was still a solid episode and very well made.
mebbyyy2026-01-30 20:10
While Oshi no ko ep is just 90% gameshow scandal with almost no plot progression only with chilling Ruby at the end and got the top spot. Some series just hit different with their particular audience.
DarkChamp7322026-01-30 19:57
You act like this isn’t just a stacked af season. Of course it’s not gonna be #1 every time
zairaner2026-01-30 22:14
It's still fucking third though??
zealoSC2026-01-31 02:21
That doesn't sound unlikely after last season.
I was just happy to see panda again
kurosaki19902026-01-31 12:20
If we use this reason for rating Golden kamuy will be in top 3 this season
THQ77792026-01-30 17:45
FSF back on the menu again
garfe2026-01-30 18:16
Oh cool FSF made it into the top 10 this week. I'm surprised this is the episode that put OnK in #1 this week though
By the way, I feel like the amount of voters is pretty small considering how stacked this season is. I'd assume it would have been over 10k
KanyeBetOnTrump2026-01-30 18:35
We have to be honest. Right now hells paradise and Jjk are throwing heat in their opening episodes, fire force is holding back and frieren is a slow burn to top.
Total-Box-51692026-01-30 18:38
I hate those top 10. There should be a way to customize your own, featuring stuff you want in the anime. There data is already there, and the algorithm is trivial to implement. The fact is not already a thing is just outrageous.
HoovyKitty2026-01-30 18:43
you and I are polar opposites has veeb pretty fun so far, I'm glad it's up there
Fantastic_Boat56512026-01-30 18:53
Why is tune in to the midnight heart so low? Easily the best romance anime of the season.
Throwaway7853202026-01-30 19:58
Not when polar opposites is on the same season
Drayenn2026-01-30 18:56
Im surprised oshi no ko is no1. The episode was ok at best.
Imaginary-Pen-52412026-01-30 19:03
Hell mode should be on this list
chum-guzzling-shark2026-01-30 19:03
death games and sentenced to be a hero both had huge lore drop episodes. Loving this season so far
Emi_Ibarazakiii2026-01-30 19:57
Oshi No Ko, let's fucking GOOOOOOO!
It's so rare that (one of my 2) favorite show is #1!
[](#awe)
Now let's not let Shiboyugi fall off the ranking... This show's so good too!
MarrisaAerith2026-01-30 20:42
Hell's Paradise, finally. The anime deserves it's flower, I'm happy bcs I've read the manga and I was freaking satisfied. Along the way, it did have it's own plot twist. Therefore, get ready for some emotional roller coaster 💜
Nvee_co2026-01-30 20:55
I can’t believe that Roll Over and Die is not here, it is sooo good.
Yotsubato2026-01-30 21:17

MegaAltarianite2026-01-30 21:30
Journal with Witch not being there is a crime.
Monkguan2026-01-30 21:50
why is highest rated anime in history not even top 3?
iabyajyiv2026-01-31 00:02
Which is that?
Top-Independence-2942026-01-31 02:14
2nd episode was kinda mid tbh ( 7.5/10 for me)
Jjk episode was even worse imo
But Im sure the 3rd episode that came out today will be top 3 next week
I live for Fern x Stark
And next jjk episode will also be much better i believe
RaeOfLight12026-01-30 22:18
We can all say shit about what should be higher or what should be lower, but this season in general is great for anime. Just happy to see multiple quality adaptations
Cloudup3652026-01-30 22:49
I think you and I Are Polar Opposites has a good chance at better on this list for the rest of the year
Galactus17012026-01-30 23:25
I don’t know why my queen is so low, but I am glad that You and I are Polar Opposites and Tamon’s B-Side are enjoyed so much.
kaimecha_art2026-01-31 00:29
W season
anti-valentine2026-01-31 00:34
So glad Sentenced to be a Hero is hanging in there, its so good people are just dropping it because it doesnt have epic fight scenes every single episode. The lore is so intriguing.
Suitable_Split_59022026-01-31 01:44
How 'oshi no ko' is this much famous?
Prof_Acorn2026-01-31 03:32
Because it has beautiful animation and music quality, and with a gripping murder mystery plot.
And [manga spoilers] >!anime onlies don't know that the ending falls apart, so there's no reason to hate it yet.!<
Time_Fracture2026-01-31 01:58

W for Oshi no ko. I love how Shiboyugi made it into the top 10. It’s so good, hopefully it gets even higher
MonkMew2026-01-31 02:30
How come some weeks anime corner rankings aren’t posted?
GreenwayHunter2026-01-31 03:29
Say can yall help me out I am thinking of posting a reaction/ review video of either the first episode of Fate/Strange Fake, or The two of us are polar opposites tomorrow. Which one should I choose?
My channel name is Greenway Hunter if anyone wants to check out my previous videos. I just posted a reaction to ep 1 of easygoing territory defense by the optimistic Lord, after a year of being on hiatus because of life stuff.
A big thank you in advance to all those who reply to this comment!👍
Ahikikoken2026-01-31 04:03
Sentence to be a Hero almost feels like a parody anime. Incredibly generic 🤭
LustyLizardLucy2026-01-31 04:58
Fire Force dropped back out of top ten? </3
fatrabbit32026-01-31 05:57
Journal with Witch is one of the best anime I've ever seen yet doesn't even make top ten.
Empty-Athlete-16532026-01-31 06:15
jjk is confusing af. i get most of it cuz i read the manga but man i cant imagine how confusing this must be for people who didn't read or don't remember stuff from the previous seasons
ran_choi_thon2026-01-31 07:21
akane boobs kicked oshi no ko to the top. lol
ChampionshipIll61712026-01-31 07:46
Solid list this week. Which ranking caught you off guard the most?
Traveler_902026-01-31 09:57
I like bells paradise but sentenced to be a hero is insanely better. JJK is up only when there a fight scene.
lil_uzi_squ1rt2026-01-31 10:13
Hells paradise should be number 1 fr😝😝
AdUnfair5582026-01-31 12:38
You and I are Polar Opposites is the best this season. I’ve been watching anime for a long time and this show so cozy!
Commentaires
I've heard the same about the manga, but the anime hasn't reached any of the controversial parts yet, so I'm still loving it.
Every manga ending is bad until it gets animated and then suddenly it’s fine.
At best it was bad and dull, and at worst it was an insult to the manga fans that read it from the start.
fan reception towards this reminded me of Game of thrones reception
When we look at other manga that have recently ended, MHA isn’t so bad when you look at it, it ended pretty decently. Safe ending tbf.
But during the later chapters of MHA, Deku was getting set up as a lonely guy after 8 year time skip in chapter 430.
The anime and later chapter obviously helped clear this up. But Deku was getting memed a shit ton because he [Anime Spoilers]>!supposedly saved the world but didn’t get the girl and all his friends supposedly “ditched” him when he lost his powers.!<
Remember the McDonald’s meme?
I mean for the manga, the official translation cleared some things up with the original chapter, but many people were going off leaks and bad translations, while they didn't even go back to read the official release to spread misinformation and skew the perception.
Many people with most of the same content in the anime didn't get the same impression and even were overall fine with how things were for the original end before the special episode was even announced later on.
I mean for the manga, the official translation cleared some things up with the original chapter, but many people were going off leaks and bad translations, while they didn't even go back to read the official release to spread misinformation and skew the perception.
Many people with most of the same content in the anime didn't get the same impression and even were overall fine with how things were for the original end for the season before the special episode was even announced later on, which still doesn't come out until May.
Every singular character in the final arc is poorly written. And that is not something you can fix by making some directorial changes, but completely revising the end script.
But in the miracle that they do and still keep the original components of the manga then I will chant their names in joy.
Because personally for me I think it was one of the worst attempts at ending a series I’ve read in a long time in manga. if they can make it work, nobody will be happier than me. so let’s just hope.
just like how attack on titans manga ending was terrible, and the anime was also terrible.
Also like the other commenter said, comparing controversial endings to despised endings is a different ball park. Lots of people liked MHA’s ending even in the manga, for example. I’ve never seen a soul who liked OnK’s ending.
Is it possible the ending will still be hated? Of course, but I am pretty confident it will be significantly better received than when the manga ended.
I thought they had to do it at some point because of how the story was set up, so they did exactly that and it was a fine execution.
Could they have done it better? Yes, but I think the promise with the murder mystery was set up awkward in the first place
I just kind of lost motivation to care about this show
It just was such a throw away ending that I ruined the rest of the story for me.
anyways appreciate the show for what it is, letting literally, what, 20% of the show dictate how you feel about the other 80% feels very sad.
Thousands of anime in the backlog. Like really good shows I have not even started.
Even more thousands of shows if I go outside anime.
I didnt like the manga. Sorry if you dont like my opinion.
Fate strange fake went up which is good tho. As long as it keeps rising ill be happy.
it felt like we were being introduced to characters that didn't matter for way too long
Not that it's a horrible show, but it seems to be a bit of an outlier on a list of amazing anime.
I personally couldn’t watch the anime after reading the mangas beautiful art.
It's also crazy to call my question dumb when your comment has zero grammatical structure. It's fine to disagree but there's no need to be a dick about anime opinions my friend.
I personally didn't enjoy it because I can't enjoy harem manga in general, but I suppose it does really well at the things harem manga readers are looking for.
After seeing Polar Opposites, you might be wondering if Mayochu get the same production value it would be good. I say it is, there is a potential.
This week Medalist was at 25th, is it due to stacked season?
* Hell's paradise = 2nd
* JJK = 3rd
* Frieren = 4th
* Tamon's B side = 9th
* Journal with witch = 12th
* In the clear moonlit dusk = 14th
* Hana-Kimi = 16th
* Isekai Office Worker the other world's books depend on the bean counter = 17th
* The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife = 24th
* Medalist = 25th
* Trigun stargaze = 29th
* golden kamuy = 32nd
* A gentle Noble's Vacation Recommendation = 49th
I expected at least Trigun to be higher tbh lol
Hmm.... I wonder why 🤔

\- [Season 1](https://myanimelist.net/anime/38959)
\- [Movie: Magic Lantern](https://myanimelist.net/anime/49361)
**Fate Apocrypha** Usually the first spinoff I recommend after El Melloi. The Third Grail War never concluded in this timeline so F/Z and F/SN don't happen.
\- [Season 1](https://myanimelist.net/anime/34662)

You could if you wanted to watch Fate 2006 at this point, as there's literally nothing else to watch but I'd play the VN for Fate route or wait hopefully for a ufotable adaptation.

There were so many good scenes and cinematic cuts in last week's episode but no big fight so no big ratings
I was just happy to see panda again
By the way, I feel like the amount of voters is pretty small considering how stacked this season is. I'd assume it would have been over 10k
It's so rare that (one of my 2) favorite show is #1!
[](#awe)
Now let's not let Shiboyugi fall off the ranking... This show's so good too!
Jjk episode was even worse imo
But Im sure the 3rd episode that came out today will be top 3 next week
I live for Fern x Stark
And next jjk episode will also be much better i believe
And [manga spoilers] >!anime onlies don't know that the ending falls apart, so there's no reason to hate it yet.!<
